REVIEW Metal Robot Spirits (Ka. Signature) Zeta Gundam, Bandai

Gundam Zeta appeared in the Ka Signature series, but this time the deformation mechanism is also reproduced with new modeling in arranged by Hajime Katoki. So this is the review.

Metal Robot Spirits (Ka. Signature) Zeta Gundam Review

Head Unit

The balance of each part is almost the same as the impression of animation. The mask and eaves are finely smeared, so the three-dimensional effect is perfect.

The eyes are painted metallic as usual. The violet looks thick in the photo, but the head size is so small that it doesn't bother me in the real thing. Since there is a deformation gimmick this time, the antenna comes with a movable type and a closed type. In addition, since the chest is protruding, the head may appear to sink when you look at it with a fan, but it is almost unnoticeable in the real thing.

Body Unit

Since it is METAL, the joints are almost entirely painted with metal. This time there is a deformation mechanism, but the proportions are natural and there is no glaring. The painting is beautiful and the markings are accurate. The beam saber is stored in the side armor.

The left and right bases of the flying armor can be moved back and forth and left and right with a joint connection. The wings can be deployed, and the stabilizer can be moved up and down. The movement is not so good and the neck area moves moderately, but the waist swing is very small. The shoulders can be raised to near horizontal and the elbows can be bent deeply. The knee is a little deeper than 90 degrees. The hip joint moves well forward but does not open much to the side. Grounding is normal.

There was a little arrangement in the normal series, but this time I painted details such as yellow on the side of the knee with a balance faithful to animation etc. The grenade launcher can be deployed by opening the forearm cover.

Weaponry and accessories

A joint for WR is also included. Equipped with rifle shield. The barrel can be expanded and contracted, and the energy pack can be removed. You can also fold the grip and mount it on your arm. shield. Although it does not slide, it is composed of two parts, and the length can be adjusted to long , medium, or short. Just plug it into the hole on the side of your arm. Hyper Mega Launcher, although it is longer than the main body, it is not heavy and can be held with one hand.

Movability and Transformability

The grip cover can be deployed in all three places, and the foregrip is also movable. The barrel can be expanded and contracted. Connection arms are housed in the lower and rear parts, and it can be connected and supported inside the rear armor or inside the stabilizer. The grenade launcher can be attached to the forearm. The beam saber comes with a high output type as well as a normal one. Can also be attached to the muzzle of beam rifles and hyper mega launchers.

Then deformed. With the antenna closed, push in the head, pull up the chest, and pull down the front waist part. Raise your chest straight up, push your head further, close your abdomen left and right, and raise your arms. Unlock the hip joint and deploy the die-cast frame. Since it is quite hard, it was easier to remove the front part of the waist as shown in the picture when unfolding. Raise the inner part of the rear armor to lock the hip frame, and bend the front armor and arms inward. Expand the flying armor joint and move forward.

Spread the armor and put it on your arm. The photo shows only one side covered. Defeat the stabilizer and rotate the side armor 180 degrees. Bend the knee from the fulcrum and close it without any gaps. Complete the wave rider form by attaching a shield and beam rifle. It was similar to the Zeta Plus of the same METAL ROBOT Spirit. The lock is a part of the hip joint, but the joints of each part are quite stiff, so the posture is stable.

Since the legs can be folded quite deeply, it is thin and compact with little depth. Landing gear is also included, and it is possible to display it in a placed state. It is also possible to equip a hyper mega launcher in WR form. In this case, the stand joint for WR cannot be used, but it was possible to float it for MS form. A landing gear for the Hyper Mega Launcher is also included. It is a little unstable, but it can be placed and displayed even in this state.

Usually with Zeta of ROBOT Spirit and Zeta plus C1 of the same METAL ROBOT Spirit that is similar in making. The size is almost the same as Zeta Plus. It's not METAL ROBOT, but it's also Ka signature Gundam mk2 and ZZ. This time there was a variable gimmick, but some locks and stiff joints didn't cause my head to sink or my shoulders to open. There is no pull-out joint like the recent ver. ANIME, but it is possible to hold the rifle with both hands.

On the movable surface, I was worried about the tightness around the neck and the fact that the hip joint did not open very much. Speaking of Z, the impression of a high-power beam saber is strong, so I was grateful that it was reproduced.  This time, not only the attached stand but also the joint for the Spirit stage is attached, but it is a pity that it was quite loose.

There is also a holding arm, but the Hyper Mega Launcher is so light that it didn't seem necessary. Even if the joints of the main body become loose, I think that it will not come off so much if you hold it with both hands, so it may be a gimmick that I personally did not have. It is also possible to attach a saber blade to the Hyper Mega Launcher.

Transformed into a wave rider

Deformation may cause the parts to rub and transfer color, so it may be better to stop those who absolutely dislike it. Even with the Hyper Mega Launcher equipped.

Summary

Unlike the normal ROBOT Spirit version that appeared before, this time it is made with a variable gimmick, but the proportions are not broken and it is neatly organized, and since it is a METAL ROBOT Spirit, the texture and precision due to painting and marking are perfect and very It was finished in a good shape. Since it has a variable gimmick, it is inferior to the recent ver. ANIME etc., but it is almost possible to reproduce important poses such as holding a hyper mega launcher, and the variable gimmick and options are elaborate and the content is perfect.
