This is the first TV animation work in the Gundam series in seven years since the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans". The BANDAI NAMCO Group will not only develop with all its might, but also work with "G-PARTNER" to create new touch points, aiming for larger expansion than ever before. 

Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of the distant future, where humanity has taken to the vast expanse of space and adopted the Ad Stella (AS) calendar system, a stark division has emerged between the denizens of space colonies, known as "Spacians," and the Earth-born "Earthians." This great schism has given rise to immense economic disparities, creating a chasm between the two factions.

To combat the unforgiving conditions of space, the renowned Vanadis Institute pioneered the creation of an advanced brain-computer interface called "GUND." This groundbreaking technology allowed humans to control artificial limbs and organs, enabling their survival in the hostile cosmic environment. Bolstered by funding from the prominent mobile suit manufacturers, Ochs Earth, the Vanadis Institute refined the GUND technology into what came to be known as the "GUND Format." The military quickly recognized its potential, leading to the birth of the formidable "GUND-ARMS" mobile suits, which harnessed the GUND Format to enhance pilot performance. However, the extensive deployment of GUND-ARMS had devastating consequences, leaving pilots maimed or even dead.

Delling Rembran, a member of the council, dispatched the elite special forces unit Dominicus to obliterate the Vanadis research facility known as Fólkvangr, eradicating all evidence of the technology's existence. Suletta Mercury

Suletta Mercury (スレッタ・マーキュリー Suretta Mākyurī?) is the protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam - the Witch from Mercury. A second-year student in the piloting department, who transferred to the school from Mercury. Suletta is timid and somewhat lacks communication skills. She is the pilot of the Gundam Aerial developed on Mercury.

Miorine Rembran

An attractive and academically distinguished second-year student in the management strategy department. Miorine is the only daughter of Delling Rembran, the president of the Beneritt Group and chairman of the school's board.

She has a strong rebellious feeling towards her father.

Guel Jeturk

An heir to Jeturk Heavy Machinery, one of the group's three branches, and a third-year student in the piloting department. Guel has a rough temperament and is quick to anger. As the ace pilot of Jeturk House, he has absolute confidence in his own skills.

Elan Ceres

The top pilot backed by Peil Technologies, one of the group's three branches. A third-year student in the piloting department. Elan is a taciturn and solitary person, who doesn't open his heart to anyone in school. He has an interest to Suletta.

Shaddiq Zenelli

An adopted child of the CEO of Grassley Defense Systems, one of the group’s three branches. A third-year student in the piloting department who leads Grassley House. Shaddiq is a smooth-talking ladies' man with a carefree manner. Although still a student Shaddiq has shown his skill in business too, he is a candidate for next generation executive.
