Gundam Recycle Operation - Operation R Gundam Ecopla

 The BANDAI NAMCO Group's cross-sectional project "Gundam Project" is an activity to raise interest in recycling through Gundam.

Background of the development of "Operation Gundam R"

As for recycling activities through Gundam, the "Gundam Recycling Project" will start on April 1, 2021 with the aim of forming a recycling-oriented society by recycling the "Gundam" runners (the frame of the plastic model) collected from fans. 

The amount of runners collected is expected to be about 10 tons per year. Therefore, the "Gundam R Operation" project was started with the desire to make more people aware of the "Gundam Recycling Project" and raise public interest in recycling through Gundam and Gunpla.

"Operation Gundam R" is a Gunpla experience kit and special booklet of the plastic model "Eco-Pla", which has individual differences in the color of the main body by using recycled materials for about one month from the day of recycling on October 20 (Wednesday). 

Free distribution and provide an opportunity to learn about recycling. After having fun assembling the Gunpla, the plan is to have the runners actually put in the collection box so that they can feel closer to recycling. Partners who support this project will also cooperate and plan to expand it all over the country.

And, as the finale of "Operation Gundam R", "Operation Gundam R FINAL 2021" will be held at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Triangle Square on Saturday, November 20th and Sunday, November 21st. 

The runners collected in the "Gundam Recycling Project" and "Gundam R Operation" will be gathered at the venue, and an installation exhibition that visualizes the cooperation and thoughts of the fans will be held to convey the importance of recycling.
