HG 1/144 ASW-G-XX Gundam Vidar Review
"Gundam Vidar", which showed overwhelming strength as soon as it entered the actual battle in Gundam IBO, became a Gunpla as a 1/144 scale kit.
There are many highlights such as the blade exchange gimmick of "Burst Saber" that was impressive in the play and the foot hunter edge, but by making a Gunpla, you will experience the unique shape of Gundam Vidar with many mysteries. The process is also fun.
Set Contents and Runner set
Box-art have mysterious man Vidar draw on there. The Manual contents are very interesting, with explanations of the aircraft and armament.
A runner, contains the Gundam frame. B runner is a color plastic. C runner is the unique side armor attached to the side of the waist. It is a sticker and poly parts for color reproduction.
Assembling and Snapfit
If you name it "Gundam" with iron blood, this is it! A chest / abdomen frame consisting of two Ahab reactors. Gundam Vidar will also start work from here. The exterior that covers the chest frame. The body is almost completed with the exterior covered.
Next is the head. Foil seals are available for the characteristically shaped twin eyes. Equipped with a comb and a horizontally long V-shaped antenna. This completes the head. Shoulder armor and shoulder joint. The shoulder joint also has the characteristics of the Gundam frame.
This is the arm frame. The undulating pipe looks good when the exterior is attached. A pipe is peeping through the gap. The same applies to the other side.
The armor on the back of the hand has a unique shape. Although armor is attached to each part, the Gundam frame can be seen from here and there, making you feel mechanic. The gimmick causes the foot hunter edge to pop out. The foot hunter edge is also installed on the tip side of the knob.
It is a frame including the knee joint. Side armor containing a burst saber, which can be said to be a feature of Gundam Vidar. Contains 3 burst saber blades. The blade is made up of three parts, but as you can see, it seems that it can be easily separated.
Gundam Vidar is said to be equipped with three Ahab reactors, and the third one is similar to this Glaze reactor. The rest is armed. In addition to a rifle, hand gun, and burst saber, a saber grip with a deeply bent wrist is also included.
A burst saber handle can be attached to the side armor. As in the play, you can also pose like pulling out from the sheath. The dedicated rifle can be hung on the side armor.
It can be attached to either the left or right side. The upper body from the side. Although it is HG, you can enjoy the appearance full of rugged mechanical feeling. The partially exposed Gundam frame.
The legs are a combination of a Chevalve Glaze-like vernier and an exposed Gundam frame, and was it overhauled by Gjallarhorn? It is a part that you can imagine and enjoy.
Movability and Articulation
Movable as well as other Orphans series. Using the wrist for the burst saber. Since the blade of the burst saber is removable, you can pose to switch to the next blade as in the play. In that case, if you use a saber wrist, it will look natural.
Summary
This concludes the new Gunpla review of "HG 1/144 Gundam Vidar". You can quickly see the new Gundam in 3D, and there are plenty of gimmicks, so it's fun to play around. The low price of a little over 1,000 yen for the actual sale and the convenience of 3 main runners are also attractive. Gundam by Teiwas such as Lupus and Full City, and Gundam by this Gjallarhorn. It would be interesting to arrange each Gundam side by side and compare the differences.
