GNY-001 Gundam Astraea (ガンダムアストレア) is a 2nd generation Gundam that first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam 00P side story. Known pilots include Ruido Resonance and Chall Acustica. Using the GN-000 0 Gundam as a base, Celestial Being’s Krung Thep engineering team developed four 2nd generation Gundams in 2292 AD to test armaments, equipment, as well as custom machines for live combat.

These Gundams also participated in preliminary tests for armed intervention, and later served as the base units for the 3rd generation Gundams.
