REVIEW Metal Robot Spirits RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom, Premium Bandai
This is the review of Metal Robot Spirits RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom an action figure Metal RoDa from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children series Bandai.
Metal Robot Damashii RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom Review
Metal RoDa Re-GZ Custom is an MS that draws the flow of Gundam Zeta, but there is no diversion and it is completely new. The unique coloring peculiar to the custom is also reproduced by painting as the image.
Head Unit
A design similar to Gundam Zeta, such as a mask without a U-shaped slit and the shape of the antenna. The chin and antenna are sharp. The eyes are painted metallic as usual. Unlike Gundam Zeta, the antenna is fixed because the head is not stored in the body when deformed.
Body Unit
The area around the duct is quite different, but the fuselage was also close to Gundam Zeta, such as the fact that the nose was folded. Equipped with beam guns on the left and right, it can be turned forward as it is.
Arms and Legs Unit
The shoulders are quite different, but the arms and legs are also closer to Gundam Zeta. The legs are long, but the shins are quite thick. The shoulder markings are asymmetrical.
Equipped with a grenade launcher on the forearm. The cover can be opened and closed. The central mega beam cannon, left and right vernier, and wings are movable. The beam saber is also movable back and forth. Movable is a variable machine, but it is not much different from normal.
The waist is slightly, but the neck is a pull-out type and swings greatly, and the shoulders are also very flexible. The elbows and knees bend deeply, and the hip joints are widely movable back and forth and sideways. The grounding property was also sufficient.
Weaponry and Accessories set
Metal RoDa Re-GZ Custom come with set of stands. Fully equipped. It have Beam assault rifle and shield. Mounting is a joint method. As an original gimmick of the Metal Robot Damashii, it is possible to have the mega beam cannon on the back with some parts removed.
Then it transforms into a wave rider form. First, lower your shoulders, point your hip beam gun up, and pull your hips sideways. Fold your knees, fold your toes, and push them in.
Put the shield on the torso, attach the rifle to the right arm, and insert the wave rider joint into the crotch hole. Bend the Mega Beam Cannon forward to complete the wave rider form.
Unlike Gundam Zeta, there is no gimmick that pushes the head into the body, so it was easier to deform than that. Although it is the same Gundam Zeta series, the proportions are quite different.
Movability and Articulation
From the wave rider form. Unlike the Gundam Zeta, there is no storage for the head, but the head is hidden by covering it with a shield, so it didn't feel strange from any angle.
As mentioned above, the movement is good, but when I try to bend the knee, it tends to be in a folded state for deformation, which is a little difficult. The waist beam gun is also deployed. This also looked natural. Since the beam saber has a thick handle, the beam blade was also a little larger than usual.
Summary
This is the review of Metal Robot Spirit RGZ-91B Re-GZ Custom. Normal RE-GZ has never been made into a Robot Damashii, but the MSV custom is released earlier in the Metal Robot Damashii series.
The result is a natural balance such as proportions, the unique light blue color is as you imagined, the texture is good because it is all painted because it is a Metal Robot Damashii, the precision feeling by marking is perfect, and the gimmick side such as movement and deformation is also perfect. It was almost perfect.
