This is a review of Bandai action figure Gunpla Chogokin RX-93ff ν Gundam from Full Scale Gundam at Gundam Park Fukuoka series.
Chogokin RX-93ff Nu Gundam Review
Superalloy the ν Gundam statue in Fukuoka. Faithfully reproduce the molding and coloring different from the original ν.
Head Unit
Since it is a superalloy, it is basically a molding color, so there are some parts that lack sharpness compared to Metal Build, but the molding itself is good. The eyes are made to shine with a light-up gimmick, but the metallic paint makes them look natural. The detailed painting such as the duct was also beautiful.
Body Unit
In ν Gundam Fukuoka ver., the part that was black in normal ν Gundam is changed to blue. The left and right modeling is asymmetrical and the details are precise. Most of them are molded colors and pearl coats, so the texture is reasonable. The markings were large and the precision was high.
Arms and Legs Unit
The shape of the liMetal Builds is not much different from the normal ν Gundam. The legs were a little longer than the general Gundam. The markings on the shoulders and the shape of the arms are asymmetrical. The marking faithfully reproduces the statue of Gundam Park Fukuoka.
The shoulder armor can be deployed forward and backward, and the front can be rotated. The saber rack can be expanded as it is and the handle can be attached and detached. The calf fins are also deployed.
Long range fin funnel connection and saber rack are movable. The backpack is removable, and there is a light-up gimmick switch on the back of the waist. Batteries are stored in the back. Eyes and chest sensors emit light. The neck swings greatly, but the waist is slightly movable.
The shoulders can be raised high with vertical and horizontal click joints, and the elbows and knees can be bent deeply. The hip joint is not a pull-out type, but it moves widely in the front and back, and the grounding is generally good. In addition, the shoulders can be pulled forward about 45 degrees.
Weaponry and Option Set
Come with a set of pedestals. Beam rifle grip is a method of using a handle with a pin, but the pin was a little difficult to fit. It can be mounted on the back of the waist by pulling out the pin on the top and sliding the back of the waist and inserting it into the hole. Shield connection is joint only. The mounting part can also be slid up and down with a ball joint.
New hyper bazooka grip can move back and forth. It can be mounted on a backpack by storing the gun barrel and raising the pin on the top.
Long range fin funnel normally mounted on the back. A support that assists the grounding part is also included. The joint part is movable and can be turned forward as it is. When raising the long range fin funnel, the joint part is shifted sideways to avoid interference with the head. Long-range fins and funnels can also be equipped on the arm using a special joint.
The gun barrel and rear fins can be deployed without replacement. A special effect is also included. This is fixed by inserting it into the holes in each part of the open gun barrel. It was possible to deploy and attach effects even when mounted on the back.
It is also possible to collect each weapon on the pedestal using a holder like Chogokin. With Yokohama RX-78F00 Gundam and Metal Build Exia of the same superalloy. Like the ν Gundam, the size was a little larger than a normal MS.
Movability and Articulation
Metal Builder Movement is generally good as mentioned above. Since the shoulders can be pulled forward about 45 degrees, there is no problem holding the rifle with both hands. The stiffness of the joints is just right, but the shoulders are click joints, so fine adjustment is difficult.
Beam saber blade at the rear end was a little easy to come off. The pedestal is a common metal build type, so it is easy to use. Deployed with a long range fin funnel attached to the arm. If you add effects, the shoulder joint is tough, but if the angle is right, it can be maintained. It also came with a support pole. Deployed while mounted on the back. Because the effect is large, it is quite powerful.
Summary
Since it is a superalloy, most of it has a pearl coat molding color, so the texture is a little inferior to a fully painted metal build, but the proportions and details are well molded, and the amount of marking is large, giving a sense of precision.
Yes, it was finished in a very good looking. The movement is also a little quirky because the shoulder is a click joint, but thanks to that, the holding power is high, and it is possible to pose the huge long range fin funnel without stress, and the gimmicks are solid. The huge effect was powerful enough and the play value was high.
