Bandai MS Mechanical Bust 02 - GN-001 Gundam Exia Review
Mechanical Colored Exterior
The runners attached to the exterior color version of the head. The V-shaped antenna on the head is on the back side of the pedestal. By attaching it to the frame, this alone will give it a good shape, but it will look empty without the lenses on the side of the head.
The chest lens is a clear part. The mouth is red, and the shoulder antenna and chest intake are painted yellow. The antenna on the shoulder is difficult to fit, probably because the thickness of the parts is increased by the paint film.
There is a small protrusion on the inside of the groove on the shoulder, and it was quite a struggle to fit the recess of the antenna into it (the unpainted clear parts fit easily). I don't think it will move, but the antenna on the shoulder can move back and forth.
Mechanical clear exterior
Same as the color version except that it is clear. The chest lens is also colorless and clear. internal mechanism. Built-in luminous unit, which is a light emitting unit, in the chest. Clear green parts are used for the forehead camera, eyes, lenses on the side of the head, and chest. The lower half has the same shape as the Nu Gundam.
By attaching the exterior to the internal mechanism, it becomes a complete Gundam Exia bust model. The front and rear chest armor is connected at the shoulder, but it's a little difficult to fit. Although it is a clear part, the dark eyes are not good, but overall shape and the density of the details are good. Since there is a light-emitting gimmick.
The total height is about 10 cm, and the width of the chest is about 6 cm. Not too big, not too small, just the right size. It's about a little larger than 1/60. Despite its size, it feels a little heavy, but it feels like it's packed with internal mechanisms . The chest glows green with the Luminous Unit. In the POP sample photo, the "GN-001 CELESTIAL BEING" marking appears in the center of the chest, but it is actually printed small and thin, so it can hardly be seen even when the light is on.
Led Unit
Only one Luminous unit is included, but by adding another one to the neck, the head can be illuminated. The eyes, cameras on the forehead and back of the head, and lenses on the sides of the head glow. It's a little troublesome to have to split the top and bottom of the bust to turn on the head unit.
Since the clear green is dark, it doesn't look very bright unless it's lit in a dark place, but when it's lit, my eyes feel normal brightness. Additional Luminous Units are cheap and recommended to stock up on two. A state in which the mechanical clear exterior covers the internal mechanism.
It's not the milky white that is common in clear gunpla, but it's highly transparent, so it 's finished with a mechanical feel. It's an unpopular clear exterior, but it's not a bad thing if you incorporate the internal mechanism.
The light -emitting part of the head shines like a metallic green when lit. The clear green parts on the chest are covered with colorless clear parts, so the thin green light shines like it's spreading.
