ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos (ASW-G-08 ガンダム・バルバトス) is the main mobile suit in the first season of the Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS anime and is piloted by Mikazuki Augus. Gundam Barbatos is one of 72 "Gundam" frames that was produced and used in the Calamity War, roughly 300 years ago. After it was recovered, Chryse Guard Security used it as a power reactor.

Aside from the fact that its Ahab Reactors were still functional, this was done mainly because Barbatos' cockpit was missing when it was found. A new cockpit similar to the one used by the CGS mobile workers was installed prior to its redeployment by the 3rd Group. Poor maintenance over the centuries since the Calamity War has degraded the Barbatos' armor and full combat potential.

The complete ban on the "MGSD Gundam Barbatos" Gunpla from "Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans" has been unveiled.

The Gundam Barbatos is featured in the new SD high-end brand called "MGSD," which integrates MG technology into the SD Gundam's frame. Standing at a height of approximately 115 mm, the Gundam Barbatos faithfully replicates the distinctive "Gundam Frame" in SD scale. The head and neck can be moved along four axes, allowing for effects such as chin-pulling and pointing upwards.

By incorporating a movable axis within the body, the Gundam Barbatos can achieve a wide range of motion, including swaying from side to side and tilting forward and backward. The movement of the chest enables the expansion and contraction of the flank's left and right cylinders. The shoulder joint utilizes a swing mechanism to enhance the arm's range of motion, while the elbow cylinder moves in sync with the arm. Moreover, the lower part of the shoulder armor triggers the deployment of the central armor through a unique MGSD gimmick.

The knee armor synchronizes with the leg's bending motion, and the rear knee armor moves independently without hindering leg movement. The twin eye is represented by a double structure that combines intricate internal parts with clear components. The chest, knees, and shoulders feature MGSD's original design, utilizing precision-shaped clear parts to efficiently reflect light and incorporating glittering technology.

To enhance the metallic sheen, a material known as "Real Metallic Gloss Injection" is utilized in the gloss injection process. This method elevates the metallic appearance of the intricate details. The backpack allows for mounting a sword, a 300mm smoothbore cannon, and a mace. The 300mm smoothbore gun can be transformed into a stored state by pulling out the barrel and rotating it 180 degrees. The mace includes an MGSD original gimmick that extends the tip by pushing the handle, simultaneously deploying the four blades.
