This is review of P-Bandai action figure Gunpla METAL STRUCTURE 解体匠機 1/60 MSN-04 Sazabi Option Parts Rewloola Laboratory from Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack series.

P-Bandai METAL STRUCTURE [ Kaitaishouki ] 1/60 MSN-04 Sazabi Option Parts Rewloola Laboratory Review

Prototype long rifle, prototype long barrel, prototype funnel container, energy tube, figure set, maintenance pods, arms, racks for weapons such as units, and various parts that connect to the pedestal. The parts are attached to the pedestal, which is connected to the Sazabi main body. As it doesn't fit in the shooting booth, it is placed on the floor.

The already large pedestal's depth has been increased, making it difficult to fit into a case and display in this state, unless it's a custom order. The dedicated long rifle rack is installed on the left side of the pedestal, and the dedicated long barrel rack is on the right. They can also be reversed. The long barrel rack can bend about 45 degrees.

Cockpit maintenance unit

Here, you can install the cockpit unit that comes with the main unit. The upper arms and claws are movable.

Maintenance arm

This is inserted into the hole in the pedestal. A maintenance pod and light can be attached to the top. Apart from moving the maintenance pod arm, it's also possible to attach a maintenance soldier figure. The light can emit light by switching it on, with two LR44 batteries included. A supply unit can be attached to the rear of the pedestal, and a prototype funnel container can be placed here.

The prototype funnel container can be replaced with the funnel container that comes with the main unit. Energy tubes and connection units can be linked to the replenishment unit. The tube is made of soft material and can be finely adjusted in terms of placement. The Sazabi main body is positioned, and the ladder arm attached to it is also set. This time, five human figures are included. All are new models, with the same two cables as before.

Char and Quess Figure

Quess is designed to be used with a cable and cannot stand on its own. Three maintenance soldier figures are included. One type uses a cable, and the center pointing can be placed on the maintenance pod by removing the pedestal.

Prototype Long Barrel

First, remove the barrel from the beam shot rifle that comes with the main unit, attach a support to the bottom, and then complete it by attaching a prototype long barrel to the barrel.

Prototype Long Rifle

The item in the picture is the main body, and it's completed by attaching each part here. The muzzle, barrel, upper part, lower part, and foregrip can be expanded. Attach the scope and magazine to the top, and the butt to the rear to store the expanded muzzle, top, and bottom. It's completed by attaching the barrel parts of the prototype long rifle to the muzzle.

This barrel can also expand at the bottom. It's held in the main body. A type where the grip's projection is pushed out from the back and inserted into the wrist hole of the Sazabi body to hold it. There's also a protrusion on the barrel's top, which can be used to grip it.

Prototype Funnel Container

This is installed by replacing the container attached to the main unit. When the rear part is raised, the left and right parts and the front part expand simultaneously. The photo shows one of the funnels removed, but there were no details on the mounting part. The container's lower part can also expand.

The energy tube and connection unit are connected inside the main body's rear skirt. The prototype long rifle is held and set on the pedestal. The impression is that the power increases even more when equipping a long weapon that exceeds the main body's total height.

Mobility Gimmick

The armor of each part of the main body is also deployed. The maintenance arm is quite long, allowing for illumination of the very large body from above. However, the light intensity is weak. With the energy tube, the sense of presence during maintenance increases. Also, with the addition of the new Quess figure, the impression of Char's Counterattack's world view deepens.

It might have been even better if Gyunei were included. My case can only store the main body, so most parts attached to the pedestal, apart from the weapons, will be stored elsewhere. The prototype long rifle's size makes it difficult to hold with both hands. The same goes for the prototype long barrel.

Summary

That concludes the review of METAL STRUCTURE Kaitai Shouki MSN-04 Sazabi Option Parts Rewloola Laboratory. Speaking of the Sazabi, the long rifle is a signature weapon. However, due to the main body's substantial volume and price, it wasn't included and was later released as part of the Rewloola Laboratory set, along with other weapons and optional items. The main prototype long rifle is longer than the main body and is very impressive. The Quess figure was also displayed to deepen the world view, making it a set that enhances the satisfaction of the Sazabi dismantling model.

Personally, I feel quite satisfied already. However, considering the νGundam's history of having two option sets, it's a bit odd that Gyunei doesn't have a Quess figure this time, making another release seem likely.
