ROBOT SPIRITS [ SIDE MS ] MS-14C Gelgoog Cannon [ Thomas Kurtz Custom ] ver. ANIME, Premium Bandai
MS-14C Gelgoog Cannon
The MS-14C Gelgoog Cannon (ゲルググキャノン) is a variant of the MS-14A Gelgoog and was first introduced in the original design series Mobile Suit Variation piloted by Thomas Kurtz. When the plans for the new MS-14 (formerly known as MS-11) Gelgoog were finalized, a total of twenty-five prototypes were created, designated as YMS-14S, where the 'Y' signifies their status as prototype Mobile Suits. Out of these twenty-five units, twenty-four were allocated to the esteemed Chimera Corps for evaluation and deployment. Within this batch, nine were specifically configured as the MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type, while the remaining units were adapted into the formidable Gelgoog Cannons.
The Gelgoog Cannon stands out with its distinctive features, including a specialized head unit and the mounting of a potent beam cannon on a modified B-type backpack. Remarkably, despite this substantial armament, the suit's reactor remains sufficiently robust to support various other weapon systems. This versatility allowed the Gelgoog Cannon to accommodate beam rifles, bazookas, or even the option to swap out forearm jet engines for mounting alternative equipment as needed.
Utilizing the powerful B-type backpack, the Gelgoog Cannon possessed ample thrust to maintain maneuverability, even with the additional weaponry. As a result, this suit swiftly established itself as a formidable fire-support and anti-fleet unit, demonstrating its prowess on the battlefield.
