The Gundam Barbatos Type-Newfangle Custom, masterfully customized by the renowned Gunpla builder @y0kJIfDsBheOu8Q, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This project by 砂やなぎ@SUNAYANAGI represents a significant evolution in model making, driven by a desire to improve upon previous work and address areas of dissatisfaction. The creative process involved an innovative blend of components from various models to enhance the overall design and functionality.

Key modifications included the integration of Berserk Führer parts for the legs and tail, Lupus components for the head and shoulders, and Lupus Rex elements for the arms. Notably, the head design was based on Lupus, with GNX parts used for the horns, while the chest was adapted from Eclipse. 砂やなぎ@SUNAYANAGI ingeniously modified Lupus's chest to eliminate a gap at the bottom, transitioning to Lupus Rex from the elbow.

This endeavor also marked a departure from 砂やなぎ@SUNAYANAGI's previous processing methods. Although these changes led to an expanded range of motion, they also introduced new challenges, indicating that the solution was not yet optimal. A notable improvement was the incorporation of a Zoid cap into the elbow joint using Lupus parts as a base, addressing a long-standing point of dissatisfaction.

For the legs, Führer parts were selected for their superior range of motion, and modifications were made to accommodate Führer's knee caps. The model's tip featured elements from Ikusu, including a charged particle cannon, and leftover wing parts were repurposed as a dorsal fin.

The blue parts were designed to mimic the movement of "minus one Godzilla", with a firing stance for the charged particle cannon inspired by GM Sniper. Adjustments to joint strength and center of gravity were crucial to maintain stability in this configuration. Additionally, the model allowed for the gun barrel to be positioned forward by bending the tail.

Aesthetic enhancements included spraying sapphire blue over the main black parts to create a luminous effect and applying the same color atop sub Prism Blue Black for seamless integration. The sharp points received a pastel blue-pink gradient, and the dorsal fin's outer frame was finished with a layer of pearl.

While 砂やなぎ@SUNAYANAGI acknowledges that these myriad improvements led to new challenges, they also provided valuable learning experiences. These insights will serve as a source of inspiration for future projects, reflecting a continual journey of refinement and innovation in model crafting.
