To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Gundam franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam has partnered with fragment, the design project led by Hiroshi Fujiwara, to create an exclusive collector’s piece like no other. Introducing the GFFMC RX-78FRGMT Gundam—a masterful blend of Gundam’s legendary mechanical design and fragment’s sleek, fashion-forward aesthetic.

This high-end figure, part of the Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite (GFFMC) line, will be available through a lottery on the official Japanese Premium Bandai website starting February 17, 2025. Winners will be announced in March 2025, with the figure priced at 38,500 yen (tax included).

Before its online release, this exclusive model debuted at the VA concept store in Omotesando, Tokyo, as part of a grand launch event running from February 1 to February 24, 2025. The event attracted GunPla enthusiasts, diecast collectors, and streetwear fans, offering a unique showcase where mecha engineering met contemporary design.

Crafted from premium die-cast materials, the GFFMC RX-78FRGMT Gundam retains the iconic RX-78-2 silhouette but is reimagined in fragment’s signature stealthy dark gray color scheme. Unlike previous collaboration kits, this Metal Composite figure preserves the original EFSF shield design, maintaining its classic identity while incorporating modern refinements.
