The RG 1/144 Gundam Exia Repair IV: Red, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @Shimon_N, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The RG Exia Repair IV Inspection is complete.

The Gunpla Builder used the RG RIII as the base and created the model using 3D CAD and a 3D printer. The production period was only a month and a half due to the deadline for the 00-off exhibition at the end of last year. However, by reusing the design data from a previously built model of the same suit in a different scale, they managed to meet the deadline.

The Exia Repair IV marks the sixth time the Gunpla Builder has worked on this mobile suit across various scales. This time, the builder decided to paint the model in an inspection color scheme to offer a fresh take. The decals were also custom-made to match the inspection color pattern.

For the GN Shield, instead of using parts from the Quanta, the Gunpla Builder designed a new version similar to the Metal Build version, where the central part can be deployed.

The Seven Sword was the part that gave the Gunpla Builder the most trouble. The issue arose from the clear resin used for the blades, which would warp due to the thinness of the 1/144 scale. To address this, the builder output several copies of the same part and selected the ones with the least warping. They then used a hairdryer to apply heat and straighten the parts, though the process was quite challenging.

The prototype output is shown in the following stages. The RG Exia itself underwent few modifications, with the exception of the hip joints. The Gunpla Builder output a new part that lowered the leg attachment base by 2mm from the original kit, adjusting the proportions accordingly.
