The HiRM 1/100 Gundam Astray Tenhui: Heavenly Comet, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @s_shifty, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This custom Gundam was inspired by Valstrax, a monster featured in Monster Hunter.

In its most neutral stance, both front and back views show that the kit was primarily mixed using Eclipse parts, with components like Exia’s shield integrated into the design.

The backpack wings are equipped with flexible arms, allowing them to move both forward and backward.

In its unarmed standing pose without the backpack, the base remains mostly Astray, with minimal changes—only the legs were replaced with those from Justice. Even in this state, it maintains a substantial presence.

For the main silver color, reference was taken from a blog by Yadon (@yabon6). The Moonstone Pearl paint was mixed with a few drops of Pure Violet and Pure Cyan to achieve the final tone.

To evoke the texture of scales throughout the body, mesh fabric with a regular pattern was used to apply consistent detailing.

The backpack was built separately, using Tactical Arms as the base. Parts from Eclipse, Exia, and Duel were mixed in to complete the structure.

The sword design drew inspiration from Sam’s Murasama Blade from Metal Gear Rising and the longsword used by Valstrax. The scabbard was formed by mixing in rifle parts to achieve an appropriate silhouette.
