Kotobukiya Plastic Model FRAME ARMS GIRL KAGUTSUCHI-KOU From FRAME ARMS GIRL
Frame Arms Girl Kagutsuchi-Kou finally joins the series! Based on Wataru Inata’s mecha design and reimagined by illustrator Doyou, this model features heavy armor proportions and an entirely new design.
This kit includes flexible joints in the chest and abdomen for dynamic poses, three pre-painted face parts (Default, Sly Smile, and Shouting), and interchangeable bangs with or without headgear. The model also comes with sub-arm units for large weapons, roller units for the legs, and waist boosters that form skirt armor. A large shield is included, which can be configured in multiple ways, mounted on other models, or even attached to the feet for “snowshoe” mode.
Additional accessories include decals for the eyes, five sets of PVC hands, one ABS wrist set, and full compatibility with parts from M.S.G, Frame Arms, Megami Device, Hexa Gear, Sousai Shojo Teien, and Arcanadea.
Frame Arms Girl is a spin-off of Kotobukiya’s Frame Arms model kits, reimagining mecha designs as bishoujo characters. With pre-colored parts, printed faces, and standardized 3mm joints, these kits are easy to assemble and highly customizable across different Kotobukiya series.
Kotobukiya Frame Arms Girl
Frame Arms Girl is a popular line of plastic model kits created by the Japanese company Kotobukiya. The series reimagines the mechanical designs from the Frame Arms franchise as stylized anime girls equipped with customizable armor and weapons. Each kit combines detailed mechanical parts with character-style figures, allowing builders to assemble and pose them in a variety of dynamic ways. The line is designed by well-known mecha designers such as Takayuki Yanase and illustrated by artists like Humikane Shimada, giving the models a distinctive mix of mechanical realism and cute anime aesthetics.
Since its debut in 2015, Frame Arms Girl has gained a strong following among hobbyists and collectors due to its high articulation, modular design, and compatibility with other Kotobukiya kits. Builders can swap armor pieces, weapons, and accessories between different characters, creating unique custom combinations. The popularity of the line also led to expanded media, including the anime series Frame Arms Girl and the film Frame Arms Girl Movie: Kyakkya Ufufu na Wonderland. Through these adaptations and continuous model releases, Kotobukiya has successfully turned Frame Arms Girl into one of the most recognizable “mecha musume” franchises in the model kit community.
