The MG 1/100 Desert Storm Warrior, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @YouTube_hobb, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

Desert Storm Warrior – Completed Build

The builder has completed their custom mobile suit titled Desert Storm Warrior. Although a completion post had not been shared earlier, they were able to participate in a recent photo session, during which Etsuo (@Big_Bab_Chan) and Sajesta (@sajesta) kindly photographed the model. With their support, the builder is now able to present and share the completed work.

The color scheme was inspired by a desert warfare theme. While the overall palette aimed to reflect arid, sandy environments, the builder noted that they would have preferred to include a bit more khaki to better balance the tones. For an accent color, orange was chosen—partly because of the builder's fondness for pile bunkers. Wanting to incorporate that element somehow, they found that the shield was a perfect place to mount it, and the addition came together smoothly.

The rear view of the model is a personal favorite for the builder. The thruster area received custom scribing to allow for separated paint applications, which added visual complexity and detail. The effort paid off, as the results felt natural and cohesive, bringing a sense of relief and satisfaction. The mask was also modified for the first time, and the builder was pleased with how it turned out despite the challenge.

A separate photo was taken to show the pile bunker in its undeployed state, showcasing the model’s versatility and attention to mechanical design.
