The HG 1/144 Char's Reben Wolf, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @papico910, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.
The build has been completed. It was finished in a Sazabi-inspired color scheme, reimagined as a “lost” Char’s custom machine.
To incorporate Char’s Counterattack elements, a shoulder from the Geara Doga was transplanted, creating an asymmetrical silhouette. Additional detail was added by placing custom inner parts into the existing verniers. Since the base kit already features numerous thrusters, the effect was especially striking.
The rifle was customized by combining the long rifle from Gundam Ace with the sensor scope from the Lieben Wolf, creating a dedicated weapon. On the MG version, the yellow lines are represented by decals, but since they don’t exist on the HG, they were recreated using masking and paint.
Because Char is often associated with a preference for close combat, the build was equipped with an increased number of melee weapons. The beam effect parts were finished with a white gradient at the base and sealed with a matte topcoat.
Originally, the plan was to paint the model in an original color scheme. However, after seeing multiple Char’s custom suits—such as the Zudah—in the final episode of Giqux, the builder changed direction and decided to create a Char’s Custom Lieben Wolf instead. In the end, it became one of their favorite builds.
