The HG 1/144 ZII Kai + Defender B Unit , masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @gunpla_tokyo, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The ZⅡ Kai – Defenser B Unit has been completed. Initially brought to the Chibashibori Competition, the model was somewhat overshadowed by the impressive scale of surrounding works, but it remains a project the builder takes pride in sharing here.

This custom build reimagines the Double Zeta II equipped with the ReZEL’s Defenser B Unit, conceived as a revised and upgraded variant of the ZⅡ. The builder focused on re-engraving panel lines and experimenting with color variations to create a fresh interpretation.

As an uncommon attempt at an “original Gundam” style project, it was both a learning experience and a creative challenge. Including test fitting, the entire build took about a week—leaving the builder wishing for more time to fully enjoy the process, but satisfied with the result nonetheless.
