From Bandai Spirits, the HG 1/144 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] Icarus Unit Equipment (Advance of Z: Under the Flag of the Titans) is now available as part of the High Grade (HG) Gunpla lineup. Inspired by the popular Advance of Z side story from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, this kit brings the newly developed Icarus Unit to life, designed around the concept of achieving sustained flight under Earth’s gravity with a single mobile suit. This release faithfully captures the mechanical depth and unique silhouette that fans of the Advance of Z series appreciate.

The Icarus Unit features newly molded parts to accurately recreate the thermonuclear rocket engines mounted on the shoulders and the thermonuclear jet engines installed on the legs. When equipped on the Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom], the unit significantly increases the model’s overall volume and presence, delivering a more powerful and dynamic appearance. The newly designed armaments, including beam reflectors and engine units, are updated to match the latest HG format with improved proportions, color separation, and articulation.

For enhanced display options, the shoulder units can slide forward and backward by pulling them outward, while the front and rear armor sections can be flipped up to recreate the mobile suit’s flight mode. The beam reflector parts are also articulated, allowing builders to display them in either expanded or closed states. By combining parts with the included beam rifle, the long-range rifle can be rearranged between extended and stored configurations. Additionally, the kit is compatible with the arm parts from the separately sold HGUC 1/144 Byarlant, offering further customization possibilities for Gunpla builders and collectors.
