This custom project imagines a light (Gun) Cannon–based piloted support unit that was ultimately canceled when the front line shifted to space combat. Designed within the GQ world setting, the concept avoids lower-body replacement due to the absence of a torso-connected core block, instead adopting a detachable, ride-on configuration to preserve the light cannon’s mobility.

In practice, structural limitations required a compromise: to maintain strength under the unit’s weight, the lower legs were omitted, presenting a visual impression of boarding rather than a full enclosure. The build emphasizes aggressive support firepower, assembled largely from Kotobukiya MSG and Hexa Gear components, along with 30MM and Builders Parts, stacked with minimal modification.

The standalone unit was also completed, featuring an unpainted visor with internally fluorescent “four-eye” sensors that emit a subtle glow. Despite its heavy upper body—nearly equivalent to two HG kits—the initial single 3mm axis proved insufficient during photography, leading to a failure that was later resolved by installing a reinforced brass-rod spine.

Overall, the project showcases an unapologetically bold option-parts assembly driven by concept and experimentation, resulting in a distinctive and memorable support-unit interpretation.
