The MG 1/100 OO QAN[T]-HX Quanta Half Cross, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @krm556, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The OO QAN[T]-HX (Half Cross) has been completed as a custom reinterpretation of the Qan[T], designed as a versatile unit optimized for mid- to long-range combat with a focus on sniping. The concept shifts the original close-combat emphasis toward controlled firepower and adaptability.

The build aims to replicate the premium look and surface quality of high-end Metal Build figures. Considerable experimentation went into achieving this finish, including a carefully tuned metallic blue inspired by the Metal Build Strike Gundam. Surface planes were increased to enhance the metallic effect, while accent colors and decals were kept minimal to maintain visual clarity. Panel lining was intentionally omitted; instead, deeper panel lines and color separation were used to define details.

A custom display base, adapted from Metal Robot Spirits parts, further enhances the high-end presentation. The cloak deployment and Full Burst Mode were engineered to open cleanly into a single-wing configuration, requiring careful adjustment of arm structure and holding strength.

An LED lighting gimmick with a magnetic switch was installed in the chest GN Drive. Even with clear parts in place, the illumination is strong and visually striking. Overall, the project successfully translates a Metal Build aesthetic into a fully custom model with strong design intent and execution.
