The HG Gundam Barbatos Adapt features a completely new exterior design and is being released as a 1/144 scale High Grade Gunpla for the first time. This model is based on the mobile suit from the short film “Intermission Misogi (Purification)”, produced to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. The kit represents the transitional form that leads to Gundam Barbatos Lupus, making it a highly anticipated release for fans and collectors.

The Gundam Barbatos Adapt is a rebuilt version of the original Barbatos that was heavily damaged during the Battle of Edmonton. Repaired by Tekkadan mechanics, the mobile suit incorporates extensive new sculpting while preserving its rugged, battle-worn identity. The exterior armor is entirely newly molded, accurately recreating the massive and aggressive silhouette seen in the animation.

This HG kit features an updated Gundam Frame, with select parts redesigned to expand articulation and improve pose stability. Some traditional polycap joints have been replaced with KPS material, and reinforced joint parts are included to allow for more dynamic and aggressive action poses. The articulated waist thruster unit further enhances mobility, enabling faithful recreations of scenes from the film.

Included with the kit are two newly sculpted long swords (large and small) supplied by Teiwaz, attachable to both sides of the unit. These weapons emphasize Barbatos Adapt’s close-combat fighting style and add to its imposing presence.

Note: Using the new Gundam Frame with other kits requires an unassembled compatible kit, and some Gundam Frame–related parts may be limited.
