The HG 1/144 Penelope “Leucadios”, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @le_creuset3, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

“This will remind you what the mother machine truly is.” With that concept in mind, this custom unit based on the Penelope from Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway has been completed as a heavily modified machine dedicated to Lane Aim, named “Leucadios.”

The build presents a hybrid mobile suit equipped with Minovsky Craft and shelf nozzle systems, emphasizing aerial dominance. In its flight form, the base Penelope is combined with parts from multiple kits, creating a sharp, aggressive silhouette reminiscent of Archetype Zeus. The distinctive shelf nozzles are recreated using GN cannons inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam 00, adding both volume and mechanical complexity.

In MS form, “Leucadios” is presented as a conceptual sibling to Penelope and the Archetype Zeus-inspired design. The color scheme uses three shades of gray to reinforce a heavy, mechanical tone. For close combat, hidden arms are integrated into the skirt armor, adding a functional edge beyond its flight-focused design.

The Odysseus Gundam component features a recolor based on the mass-production Nu Gundam palette, which blends surprisingly well with the overall concept. Additional backpack parts are incorporated to allow independent flight capability, even without the fixed flight unit, further enhancing its versatility.

The fixed flight unit itself aims for a more ominous presence, drawing visual cues from dragons or mythical birds, resulting in a striking and unconventional silhouette.

Inspired by the impactful appearance of the Archetype Zeus in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, this build captures a similar intensity through creative kitbashing. Completed ahead of the official HG release, it stands as a complex and ambitious project, pushing both design and assembly to a high level.
