The HG 1/144 EZ-SSR Striker Custom/Sniper Custom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @Barnard0079, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This custom “GQuuuuuuX-style Jegan” presents an unconventional approach to reimagining the RGM-89 Jegan. Instead of directly using Jegan parts, the builder uses a MS-14 Gelgoog as the base, aiming to recreate the essence of the Jegan through shape and proportion alone.

The result captures the recognizable Jegan identity while introducing a noticeably different atmosphere. Achieving this balance required careful part selection and sculpting, as the design had to suggest familiarity without relying on original components.

The equipment loadout reinforces its role as a versatile unit. The shield is equipped with a conceptual I-Field generator, adding defensive capability, while the reverse side mounts a dual missile launcher. Standard Jegan-style armaments are also present, including a beam saber and grenades stored at the waist. Additionally, two types of beam rifles are included, both of which can be mounted on the rear waist for storage.

In terms of scale, the model remains compact and slim due to its smaller base frame. When compared to other builds, including a previously created GQuuuuuuX-style Zaku, the differences in proportions and design approach become more apparent.

Overall, this build succeeds in translating the Jegan’s identity into a completely different construction method, delivering a fresh interpretation while maintaining functional and visual coherence.
