From the acclaimed anime series Mobile Suit Gundam X, the fearsome Gundam Virsago—piloted by Shagia Frost, the elder of the Frost brothers—arrives in the latest HG 1/144 format. Known for its sinister appearance and overwhelming combat capabilities, the Gundam Virsago stands out as one of the most iconic antagonist mobile suits from the After War timeline. This new High Grade release faithfully recreates the machine’s distinctive design while incorporating modern articulation and enhanced mechanical detail for an impressive display and building experience.

The Gundam Virsago’s signature Strike Claw gimmick has been fully reproduced, allowing the extended claw arms to deploy just like in the anime. This feature captures the mobile suit’s aggressive close-range combat style and adds dramatic posing possibilities for action displays. The extension mechanism emphasizes the predatory silhouette of the unit, making it instantly recognizable among Gundam X mobile suits.

Another standout feature is the recreation of the abdominal deployment gimmick used when activating the Mega Sonic Cannon. Sections of the torso can open to simulate the firing sequence, accurately reproducing one of the Gundam Virsago’s most memorable attack modes from the series. The mechanical transformation details give the kit additional depth and realism while enhancing its anime accuracy.

The model kit also includes the Strike Shooter weapon system with a connecting gimmick that allows both launchers to combine into a larger armament configuration. Combined with the included beam saber and interchangeable hand parts, builders can recreate a wide range of combat poses and display styles inspired by scenes from the anime.

Despite its compact 1/144 scale, the HG Gundam Virsago features excellent articulation throughout the body, enabling dynamic action poses while maintaining stability. The sharp armor detailing and updated proportions further modernize the design, giving the mobile suit a powerful and intimidating presence once completed.

Included accessories consist of two Strike Shooters, connection parts for combining the weapons, one beam saber, interchangeable hand parts, and foil stickers for color detailing and finishing touches.
