The MG Gundam Barbatos Lupus from Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans has been completed with a strong focus on fundamental modeling techniques and structural refinement. Rather than relying on excessive additional equipment, this build emphasizes precision craftsmanship and proportion adjustment.

The project involved extensive surface preparation, re-carving existing details, adding new panel lines, refining the overall silhouette, and eliminating hollow sections throughout the kit. These foundational improvements give the completed model a cleaner and more professional appearance while enhancing the sharp mechanical identity of the Barbatos Lupus.

One of the most noticeable changes was made to the head. The original eye section was considered slightly oversized, so it was rebuilt smaller using plastic plate material. Fluorescent-painted reflective tape was added behind the eye area to create a brighter and more intense sensor effect. The side facial blades and chin were also sharpened to reinforce the aggressive look of the unit.

The waist section received a major structural adjustment as well. The frame was cut and extended by approximately six millimeters using layered plastic plates, improving the overall body proportions and giving the mobile suit a taller, more balanced appearance. Additional reinforcement was added around the side cylinder connections using plastic pipe extensions to improve stability and prevent parts from loosening.
