Completed in May 2026, this custom combines the MG Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW with the internal frame of the Wing Gundam Zero EW Ver.Ka to create a refined reinterpretation that bridges both designs more naturally.

The project was built with two main goals: achieving the strongest possible Ver.Ka-style proportions and emphasizing the evolutionary relationship between Proto Zero and Wing Zero. To accomplish this, as much of the Ver.Ka exterior design as possible was retained while integrating original modifications that preserve the identity of the Proto Zero.

The newer Ver.Ka frame significantly improves articulation, stability, and weapon handling. This allows the model to recreate dramatic poses inspired by the package artwork, including dual buster rifle stances and forward-aimed twin buster rifle poses that feel dynamic and convincing. The upgraded frame also enables the wing binders to swing upward more dramatically, enhancing the machine’s aerial silhouette.

Beyond articulation, the build benefits from exceptional holding strength. Even oversized weapons like the twin buster rifle can be posed securely without compromising balance, giving the model a sense of speed and aggression in action poses.

Design compatibility between the Proto Zero and Ver.Ka proved surprisingly high, allowing many exterior parts to transfer directly. Because the Ver.Ka already features well-balanced surface detailing, the builder mainly focused on integrating Proto Zero-specific visual elements rather than excessive redesign work.

The wing binders received major enlargement and restructuring. The white sections were separated and rebuilt with custom joints to allow expanded opening and movement. Combined with the opening head fins, the transformation effect successfully recreates the activation atmosphere of the Zero System.

Overall, this custom succeeds as a seamless fusion of Proto Zero and Ver.Ka engineering, delivering improved proportions, stronger articulation, and a more dramatic interpretation of one of the most iconic designs in the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing universe.
