P-Bandai Gunpla RG 1/144 GN-001REIV Gundam Exia Repair IV from Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Festival 10 ‘Re:vision’
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the event “Gundam 00 Festival 10 ‘Re:vision’” featured a special reading live performance depicting the events following Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer. One of the highlights that drew major attention from fans was the appearance of Gundam Exia Repair IV, which has now been brought to life as an RG (Real Grade) Gunpla model kit.
Set after the ELS invasion, Gundam Exia Repair IV serves as the personal mobile suit of Graham Aker, who has newly become a Gundam Meister. This upgraded unit is based on the further reconstructed Gundam Exia Repair III and incorporates technology developed for sixth-generation Gundams. The kit faithfully recreates its distinctive design, including the exposed-frame left arm and the newly designed Seven Sword GN Shield, using newly molded parts in line with RG standards for enhanced detail and realism.
The model also includes a range of articulated gimmicks that emphasize both functionality and dynamic posing. The GN Bayonet can be repositioned into a drawing stance thanks to a movable arm attached to the waist. In addition, the GN Battle Blade and GN Battle Sword mounted on the GN Shield feature deployment mechanisms that allow them to transform and move just like in the source material, giving the kit an impressive level of playability and display versatility.
GN-001REIV Gundam Exia Repair IV
In Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Festival 10 “Re:vision,” the GN-001REIV Gundam Exia Repair IV stands as the final evolution of Setsuna F. Seiei’s iconic mobile suit, embodying both technological refinement and symbolic closure for the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 saga. Developed after the events of the film Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer, the Repair IV combines the agile close-combat heritage of the original Exia with advanced GN technology designed for prolonged deep-space operations. Its redesigned silhouette features streamlined armor, enhanced GN Condensers, and the powerful GN Sword IV, a versatile weapon capable of both melee combat and ranged beam attacks. The machine reflects Celestial Being’s transition from armed intervention toward exploration and coexistence, aligning with Setsuna’s own transformation after his contact with the ELS.
The reveal of the Exia Repair IV during the 2018 anniversary event generated major excitement among longtime Gundam fans because it offered a rare continuation of the Gundam 00 timeline beyond the movie’s ending. Mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa preserved Exia’s recognizable sharp profile and celestial blue-and-white color palette while introducing more mature and practical engineering details suited to interstellar missions. Unlike earlier damaged “Repair” forms that symbolized survival and reconstruction, the Repair IV appears fully realized and purpose-built, representing growth rather than recovery. Its appearance in Festival 10 “Re:vision” reinforced the enduring popularity of Setsuna and Exia within the Gundam franchise, while also giving fans a glimpse into humanity’s peaceful future in the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 universe.
Gunpla Real Grade Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Festival 10 ‘Re:vision’ series
The Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Festival 10 “Re:vision” series was a special live drama event created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Held in 2018 at Makuhari Event Hall in Japan, the production expanded the story beyond A Wakening of the Trailblazer and explored the aftermath of humanity’s conflict with the ELS. The event introduced new developments for Celestial Being, including the appearance of Gundam Exia Repair IV and Gundam Dynames Repair III, as well as the return of Graham Aker as a new Gundam Meister. The story focused on a damaged Earth struggling to recover from war, while anti-ELS extremist groups created fresh tensions that forced Celestial Being back into action.
For Gunpla fans, Re:vision became especially important because it inspired several highly anticipated model kits and expanded the lore of the Gundam 00 universe. The redesigns of Exia Repair IV and Dynames Repair III quickly gained popularity among collectors due to their modernized mechanical aesthetics and symbolic connection to the original pilots. Many fans also appreciated how the event gave emotional closure to characters such as Setsuna F. Seiei and Graham Aker while hinting at the future evolution of humanity and Innovators. Even years later, the Re:vision storyline remains widely discussed within the Gundam and Gunpla community because it bridges the gap between the anime’s ending and the possibility of a future sequel project.
