BANDAI SPIRITS’ “GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE” series, featuring premium pre-painted finished models crafted mainly from die-cast metal and ABS plastic, welcomes the long-awaited arrival of the “Zaku Desert Type” from the MSV (Mobile Suit Variation) series of Mobile Suit Gundam!

The Zaku Desert Type joins the GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE lineup, produced by BANDAI SPIRITS and supervised by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. This highly detailed collectible faithfully recreates the modified appearance of the Zaku designed for tropical and desert combat operations, featuring newly sculpted parts and advanced engineering developed through previous Zaku releases.

Available as a December 2026 release item, pre-orders will begin on June 24, 2026 (Wednesday) at 4:00 PM JST through Tamashii Web Shop on Premium Bandai.

The GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE series is known for its exceptional sculpting, detailed paintwork, and premium construction. Key areas such as the joints incorporate die-cast metal components, providing enhanced durability, realistic texture, and a satisfying sense of weight. The figure also offers a wide range of articulation and numerous accessories, delivering an impressive level of playability and display potential.

The Zaku Desert Type features a newly developed rotating mono-eye mechanism, bringing even more realism and functionality to the classic Mobile Suit design. The engineering improvements and design refinements reflect the accumulated technology and experience from previous Zaku releases.

The figure includes an extensive arsenal of newly modeled equipment, including:

The included cracker pods allow the crackers to be removed and posed in a throwing action. The two-barrel missile pods feature foldable grips, allowing them to be held directly by the Zaku’s hands for additional combat poses.

Using the included attachment parts, the missile pods and machine gun magazines can be mounted onto various locations, including the right shoulder shield, left arm, and sides of the waist. This allows collectors to recreate the Zaku Desert Type’s heavily armed combat configuration with weapons equipped across the entire body.
