The MG Sengoku Astray Gundam has been completed with a bold reinterpretation that emphasizes a powerful, muscular silhouette while preserving the samurai-inspired identity of the original design from Gundam Build Fighters Try.

The most noticeable modification is the use of Hi-Resolution Model Astray legs, giving the mobile suit a significantly more robust stance. The enlarged lower body creates a heavier, more commanding presence, allowing the Sengoku Astray to stand with greater stability and impact.

Extensive work was also carried out on the head. The face was completely reworked by separating and reattaching the facial components, enlarging the side armor with plastic sheet, and extending the V-fin. Brass pins were inserted into the antenna tips to achieve a sharper, more refined finish.

The signature swords received equal attention. The blades were carefully reshaped to restore clean edge lines, while the original curvature was corrected to produce a more natural katana profile. These refinements greatly enhance the realism of the Sengoku Astray's primary weapons.

One of the standout features is the Particle Fa Jin pose. The Hi-Resolution hand blade parts integrate seamlessly with the upgraded frame, while the reinforced lower body allows the model to maintain wide, powerful stances that perfectly suit martial arts-inspired action poses.

The upper body proportions were also improved by widening the shoulders, inspired by another custom build. This adjustment strengthens the overall silhouette and even allows the mobile suit to perform convincing crossed-arm poses. Additional MG components were incorporated into the legs to further refine the proportions.

Despite the clean final appearance, the build required significant effort behind the scenes. The shoulder assemblies and backpack demanded extensive seam cleanup and surface preparation, while the complex backpack made painting especially challenging due to its intricate shape and numerous individual parts.

The finished model is brought together by a striking metallic red finish, which enhances the samurai-inspired aesthetic while adding depth and richness to the armor. Under natural lighting, the metallic finish gives the Sengoku Astray an impressive premium appearance that is even more striking in person.

Overall, this custom successfully transforms the MG Sengoku Astray Gundam into a heavier, more imposing warrior.
