The HG 1/144 Rick Dias General Type Custom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @meck0210, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The HG Rick Dias General Type was completed without major proportion modifications, with the main focus placed on surface detailing and a full repaint. Additional panel lines were engraved across the body to give the relatively simple kit a more refined mechanical appearance.

Several construction improvements were also made, including:

• Opening the head vulcan cannon ports with a pin vise
• Modifying the cannon for easier installation
• Seam removal on the head, upper arms, and calves
• Converting the knee joint for easier assembly
• Adding metal parts to four circular details on the feet
• Full-body painting
• Semi-gloss clear topcoat

The markings combine official faction decals, Asita decals, and generic caution markings. The original mono-eye part was retained and enhanced during photography with UV lighting, adding a subtle luminous effect.

Although the Clay Bazooka is an iconic Rick Dias weapon, its interference with the arm makes the shooting pose difficult to achieve, so the build focuses instead on poses that showcase the completed mobile suit and its detailing.

Overall, the project takes a straightforward approach: preserve the original proportions while improving the kit through surface work, paint, markings, and small mechanical details.
