From Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II in its A.E.U.G. specification joins the METAL STRUCTURE KAITAI-SHOU-KI series as an extensively detailed premium finished robot.

The Gundam Mk-II has been completely reinterpreted through the concept of "deconstruction and construction." Approximately 2,500 individual parts are used to recreate the mobile suit, with different composite materials selected according to each section to achieve a highly realistic mechanical appearance.

The figure features three distinctive armor configurations: the standard combat form, a high-mobility combat form, and a full-maintenance form. Armor panels throughout the body can be opened to expose the internal mechanical structure, allowing collectors to explore the mobile suit from its cockpit and movable frame to the thrusters in its legs.

The original high-mobility combat form features rearranged backpack thrusters and opened armor panels designed to suggest improved cooling and heat dissipation during combat. The full-maintenance configuration goes even further, exposing the spherical cockpit and extensive internal frame details.

Lighting gimmicks are installed in key areas of the figure, including the main camera, camera eyes, chest sensor, and cockpit. Combined with the dedicated display base, the illumination helps recreate the atmosphere of a large mobile suit undergoing maintenance.

The dedicated base also includes work arms for maintenance-style displays and parts inspired by a launch catapult. Miniature figures can be placed alongside the Gundam Mk-II to further emphasize its enormous scale.

The armament lineup includes the standard Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, Vulcan Pod System, and Shield. The weapons also feature original arrangement gimmicks, allowing parts such as the barrel, magazine, and grip to be separated and recombined into different configurations.

Details connected to the Gundam Mk-II's history are also incorporated into the design. Some armor interiors are finished in the dark blue associated with the Titans, while the shield features a Titans emblem treatment that suggests the machine's transition before being operated in A.E.U.G. colors.
