Bandai is set to continue its EXCEED MODEL series with the Mobile Suit Gundam EXCEED MODEL Trinity RX-78-2 Gundam Cable + Light Unit Set, a unique capsule-less collectible that recreates the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam head through a three-part assembly system. The second round of orders for the Gashapon Online version begins on September 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM JST, with shipping scheduled for December 2026.

The EXCEED MODEL Trinity RX-78-2 Gundam combines three separate components to create a complete Gundam display. The Gashapon Online version is especially distinctive as each item includes additional lighting and cable components, allowing collectors to connect the three parts and create a more realistic mechanical display.

Each item in the Gashapon Online version comes with a head light unit, cockpit light unit, and cable unit. Once all three components are assembled, the included cables can be used to connect the units while the Gundam head and cockpit can be illuminated, adding an impressive mechanical effect to the finished display.

The lineup consists of three types that work together to recreate the RX-78-2 Gundam. The product is designed as a snap kit and uses ABS, MABS, PVC, and nylon materials. The completed display measures approximately 120 to 150mm in length, making it compact enough for desks and shelves while still offering a substantial presence.
