The MG 1/100 Dios Astray, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @garz4351, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The Dios Astray is a heavily customized interpretation of the MG Astray, built around a mythological concept while deliberately contrasting it with a modern color scheme.

Despite being based on the MG Astray, very little of the original kit remains. Aside from the torso and waist sections, most of the model was replaced or rebuilt through extensive mixing. This gives the finished mobile suit a distinctive silhouette that moves far beyond the original design.

The main weapon is the Multiple Beam Rod, nicknamed the "Umbrella", designed as a versatile weapon capable of adapting to different combat situations. Its unusual shape reinforces the build's mythological theme while adding a unique visual identity.

The builder also experimented with painting the display base for the first time, keeping the base work simple and focusing solely on the paint finish rather than adding physical detailing.

The name Dios Astray, derived from the Spanish word Dios meaning "God," reflects the central concept behind the build. The contrast between its divine, mythological inspiration and modern styling creates an interesting visual duality.

After nearly six months of work, including setbacks and detours, the project was finally completed. The result is an ambitious custom Astray that combines extensive mixing, original weapon design, and a strong thematic identity.
