HG 1/144 CFK-029 Michaelis Review
This High Grade Michaelis is full of attention points, such as the unique stylish design of the Grassley MS and how the characteristic right arm composite weapon "Beam Blazer" is reproduced. Let's see how it goes.
Box Art, Runner and Set Contents
The box art is Michaelis attempting a ranged attack with a beam blazer. The lighting expression of each part of the whole body is also cool. Let's check the contents of the box before assembling. This is a manual that describes the settings such as weapons. Especially when it comes to new works.
HG 1/144 Michaelis does not use a multicolor molded runner, and the A runner that makes up the exterior is a single color runner. The B runner that makes up the frame part. You can also check the characteristic abdominal parts.
C runner that makes up the purple part of the main body. The opening and closing parts of the beam blazer are also included. D runner is a runner made of clear parts that make up the light-emitting parts of the whole body.
A clear color stand is included to recreate the Beam Blazer's ranged attacks. The photo below shows the beam blazer and the beam saber blade that can be attached to the small shield on the left arm.
The sticker can be selected with or without light emitting inside the beam blazer. The lead wire below the photo is used to reproduce the beam blazer's ranged attack.
Work In Progress - WIP
Now that the parts have been confirmed, let's start assembling. The base part of the head is a one-part molding. I can feel the feedback from the EG series.
Head Unit
A sticker is pasted on the part that corresponds to the face. Being able to carefully observe the details inside the camera is one of the pleasures unique to plastic models.
The camera part is covered with clear parts on top of the sticker. The head is complete after adding the knight-like exterior and crest parts. A simple but cool head. The sticker shines through the clear parts.
Body Unit
Ball joints are installed at the points indicated by arrows in the photo, allowing for flexible movement. Clear parts cover the cockpit, which is unique to Grassley MS and is located in a great position.
The details around the neck are also dense. The chest is complete when the exterior is attached from the front and back. Attach a backpack unit to the rear. The characteristic abdomen is integrated with the waist.
Combined with the chest that was assembled earlier. The abdomen and chest are connected with a ball joint, allowing for free movement. This is the front and back waist armor. The rear armor contains lining parts. The HG series of "Witch of Mercury" has a lot of backing parts. Attaching the waist armor completes the torso.
Arms Unit
A sticker is attached to the base of the shoulder. Cover it with clear parts. If you cover the exterior, the shoulder armor is completed. The feeling of layering is very cool.
The upper arm and forearm are directly connected with a C-shaped joint. Combine the parts to complete the right arm with a beam blazer. Since the beam blazer is directly connected, there is no wrist part.
The basic structure of the left arm is the same as the right arm. The left arm is complete after attaching the wrist parts and small shield that are not on the right arm.
Legs Unit
The ankle is movable in the center. Base parts of myrtaceae. The light emitting part has a double structure of seal and clear parts. Connect the top and bottom with the leg frame. The range of motion is excellent.
The legs are complete after attaching the shield-like parts on the sides of the shin. Combine the parts to complete the main body except for the Beam Blazer.
Weaponry and Accessories
The beam blazer, which is a composite armament that is attached to the right arm. Start with the base parts. Each of the 4 binders can move at the connecting part.
Three of them have movable claws. You can choose between emitting and non-emitting stickers on the inside. This time, select the lighting state. Once assembled, the Beam Blazer is complete. All the binders are unfolded. It's impressive.
It is also possible to attach a beam saber blade to the tip. The beam saber blade can also be attached to the shield on the left arm. In addition, if you use the special joint parts and the attached stand.
Summary
Not only the proportions and gimmicks, but also the parts configuration that is easy to assemble has evolved. It was a wonderful kit. With this, the three descendants of the three sons have all boarded aircraft.
