REVIEW Metal Structure 解体匠機 1/60 MSN-04 Sazabi, Bandai

This is review of action figure Die-Cast Gundam Gunpla Metal Structure 解体匠機 1/60 MSN-04 Sazabi from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack series.

Metal Structure Kaitai-Shou-Ki 1/60 MSN-04 Sazabi Review

It's the same scale as ν Gundam, but larger than that, so it's 43cm in height and a tremendous volume. The number of parts has also increased by 1000 from ν Gundam to over 3000.

Head Unit

The sculpting is slightly arranged, the head is wider than the setting image, and the antenna on the top of the head is also bulging. The mono-eye is painted, but since the lane is narrow, it is not very noticeable unless it is illuminated.

The silver paint on the cheeks is also accurate. The mono-eye can be moved left and right by opening the top cover and lowering the mask. The cockpit unit is exposed when the helmet is raised.

When you open the cover up and down, there is a Char figure inside. The head unit can be pulled out, and on the back side is a light-emitting gimmick switch. There are two switches, and it is possible to light up the mono eye and the cockpit unit. In addition, unlike ν Gundam, the light-up part of the main body was only the head.

Body Unit

Slightly slender chest. Although the details have been improved for the size, there is no arrangement of the design itself and it is faithful to the basics. Waist area is also full of details. This time, the feature is that silver is used as an accent overall.

Arms and Legs

The shoulder armor is slightly smaller. There are many markings around here, and red is also used in multiple colors, and the matte texture is beautiful. The shoulder markings are asymmetrical. Each of the 5 fingers is movable up to the 1st and 2nd joints. The funnel and funnel container have markings, so store them together. An arm is stored on the back side of the container and can hold the funnel by deploying it. It is also possible to expand the funnel.

The muzzle comes out when you press the nozzle on the bottom. The original propellant tank was all black, but this time it was mostly white. Armor expands in conjunction with pulling the lower part. Twist the bottom to expand the vernier.

The funnel container and propellant tank can be flexibly moved with joint connections. Also, it was possible to have the ν Gundam Gundam cockpit unit. Next, the main body is movable. The neck is slightly up and down, but it can be turned about 45 degrees sideways.

The shoulders have click joints on the side and can be lifted up to near horizontal, but there are no click joints on the front and back, so it felt like my shoulders would lose when I held a weapon. Elbows can be bent nearly 90 degrees.

The wrist is also ball jointed and somewhat movable. No back and forth hip swing. If you leave it as it is, the mega particle cannon will interfere and it will not be possible to rotate it, but once you pull out the center waist part, you can rotate it about 45 degrees.

That's about it for the open legs. Although the grounding is high, if you open it to the limit, the end of the ankle will float and become unstable, so it seems better to stop opening the foot too wide. The hip joint can be raised about 70 degrees forward. Knees about 40 degrees. However, I was afraid to move it any further, so if I do my best to move it, it may move a little more.

Weaponry and Accessories Option set

This Sazabi come with set of effects, a set of figures, pedestal, Main struts, arms, etc. Side pedestal, light unit, lectern, etc. A set of pedestal caps, tomahawk holder, Rifle and shield equipped.

The shield is large, but the weight of the main body is amazing, so there was no problem with being independent even when equipped. In addition, the shooting weapon is only here this time, and the long rifle will be sold as an option at a later date.

The barrel can be expanded and contracted, and the muzzle cover can be expanded in conjunction. The rear part of the barrel can also be expanded. Fore-end sliding is also possible. The front and rear magazines are removable.

Shield is also packed with details that match the size. The joint moves back and forth, left and right, and the connection part rotates, so it is possible to flexibly adjust the direction and angle. It can also be deployed by pulling each part, and it is possible to expose the internal mechanism that looks ominous.

Beam Tomahawk and 3 missiles can be attached to the back side. Beam tomahawk comes with 3 effects. This one is small, this one is medium, this one is large, and only this one has an effect in the center. Tomahawk can be attached to the tip of the back side of the shield by using a special joint.

The shield itself is large, so it looks pretty flashy. The handle of the beam saber can be pulled out by pulling out the wrist. As with all weapons, there is a pin so it is stable to hold. Small and large effects are included here.

There is also a hidden arm on the back of the front armor, which can be held by the claw. The hidden arm bends in two places, the base and the center, and the claw part can rotate.

When all of them were installed, both the width and depth were about 57 cm, and it did not fit in the shooting space. Since the props are thick, the legs are open to some extent, and the angle of the thigh roll is also limited. The armament is attached to the rack, and the Char Aznable figure is placed on the lectern and lit up. Even with the lights turned down a bit.

When you put it on the post, pull out the crotch part and fit it into the inner groove. It was a little difficult until I got the hang of it because I had to adjust the position while lifting the heavy body. Various weapons can be attached to the rear rack. A lectern can be set in front of the pedestal, and a Char figure can be displayed as if giving a speech. Various human figures will be described later.

Like the ν Gundam, it is possible to deploy the armor step by step. This is the second stage high mobility form. The crest unfolds forward. The chest side armor is removed once and reattached one step outside. The front armor is deployed sideways. Although it is an individual difference, I forgot to paint part of the pink on the left inner side. Both the upper and lower parts of the shoulder armor are deployed horizontally.

Also pull out the upper inner vernier to expand. The arms are equipped with armor on the elbows and backs of the hands. Only the calf armor is deployed on the legs. The backpack and rear armor can also be pulled out and deployed.

The propellant tank is also deployed as mentioned above. The 3rd stage hatch open form that further expands the armor. This is the appearance during maintenance and development.

For the head, pull out the visor and reattach it to the upper position. The chest side armor and shoulder armor are left open. The front armor is in a state where the hidden arm is out. Open the inner armor of the arm and pull out the wrist. The arm of the funnel container is also left unfolded.

Put it on the pedestal and set each part arm and person figure etc. It is possible to reproduce the maintenance scenery as with ν Gundam. The volume of the main body itself is much higher than ν Gundam, so it looks even more powerful than that time. As with ν Gundam, various figures are also included. This is Char and Nana. It was about 1/60 and the painting was done to a fairly detailed part.

Two maintenance soldiers is a type that can be placed and decorated. Two types of maintenance crews that float using cables are also included. Like ν Gundam, the figure can be displayed by placing it on the ramp arm or inserting a cable behind it.

The cable can also be inserted into the main body support. Since the cable is a lead wire, it is possible to make fine movements. A funnel rack is also included, and it is possible to set the funnel on the pedestal.

The arm can be moved in multiple places, and the claws at the tip can be opened and closed, so you can reproduce the atmosphere of maintenance by pinching each part of the main body. The ramp arm can also be moved in multiple places and the position can be finely adjusted.

And the 4th stage full maintenance form corresponding to storage and aircraft overhaul. A pedestal is required here. back. It really looks like it's being assembled and has a unique appearance, so I personally don't think I'll be decorating it in this state.

The silhouette was a little bit like a nightingale. From the side. It's like sitting on a pedestal support. Install the pedestal support after folding it forward and lowering it. In this form, the abdominal armor is also deployed and the entire upper body is slid forward.

So the body is hollow. The center part of the waist, which is normally stored behind the crotch, is also available. For the legs, the ankle frame, which is normally folded, is raised, each armor is opened, and the hip joints and knees are bent.

Arms and figures are also set. Normally, the height including the pedestal is about 47 cm, but in this form it was about 42 cm. The main body is simply decorated with only a pedestal and support. The pedestal can be reduced to a minimum width of about 36 cm and a depth of about 32 cm. The rear part of the strut floats in the air, and the ankle of the main body sticks out. This seemed to work if it was only for fixing the main body.

With ν Gundam of the same dismantling machine. The scale is about 1/60 like ν Gundam. The overall height didn't change that much, but the width and overall volume were quite different. MG's Sazabi. The total height is about twice as high as this one, and it feels like the size is strange.

Summary

As it is a dismantling machine version of the heavy MS Sazabi, which tends to be expensive in any series, the price has become a tremendous amount, almost double the ν Gundam, but the precision feeling and painting that more than 3000 parts are used for the total height of 43 cm. The details and markings were also elaborated, and although it was a pity that there was one paint defect, it was a powerful figure that I had never seen before, and I was satisfied with the outstanding price.

Like ν Gundam, it doesn't seem like it's possible to move and play around with it because of its size and weight. There are plenty of other playable elements, such as a gimmick for deploying a certain armor, a minifigure that enhances the presence, and a luxurious pedestal, so I didn't have any complaints about the content.
