HGTWFM 1/144 EDM-GB Gundvölva Review
Gundvolva that was made into a kit in the HG Witch of Mercury series. Gundvolva that was made into a kit at the same time as the Demi-Barding introduced last time. This MS Unit come with pprice 1,540 yen.
Accessories are beam carbine, shield, and two beam blades only. No surplus parts. Foil seal sticker are minimal, only various cameras & sensors and things that supplement the inside of the shell unit.
I thought it was an orthodox Gundam-type aircraft, but it turned out to be an unmanned and humanoid Gambit, and he is the one controlled by LFrith UR and LFrith Thorn.
Unlike LFrith UR & LFrith Thorn, he has a heroic silhouette, and his low-visibility coloring is attractive. Although it is a kit, all the joints are KPS without using polycaps this time.
There is a shell unit on the chest and other parts, but in-mold molding is not used, and it is a combination of her clear parts and foil seal.
Color Scheme
Regarding the color scheme of the aircraft, except for the sensors, it is almost reproduced in the molding color. Some of the molds in various places are also opened to create a three-dimensional finish. Seams are also made invisible as much as possible.
Head Unit
I'm comparing LFrith UR & LFrith Thorn, but her antenna color and mask without slits are common, but the shape itself is different and the color of her twin eyes is also yellow.
Body Unit
The body has a sharp silhouette and there is a large shell unit on the chest. The sticker is red only. The backpack on the back has thruster units on the left and right, but the shape is small.
The area around the twin eye was made into a separate part. The chest shell unit is reproduced with a sticker, but the mold is also solid. The left and right thruster units of the backpack can be rotated by BJ connection, and can also be opened to some extent.
The backpack connection hole was a 2-hole type. Therefore, many packs used for Gunpla and 30MM can be installed without modification.
Arms Unit
The 3mm joint on the side of the arm and the mold on the back of the forearm are also opened and color-coded. The shoulder armor is divided into the front and back, but the seams were in line with the details.
The forearm armor has a joint between the front and back, but I don't think it bothers me because it can also be seen as the dividing line of the armor. The vernier unit on the waist is also a separate part, and the duct on the surface is also color-coded.
The vernier unit secures a wide range of movement by combining the BJ and swing axis. The hip joint axis is simple, but the vernier unit is lined and the rear armor is also molded.
Legs Unit
Legs with a smart silhouette compared to Lfrith Thorn. Here too, the joints are detailed, and some of the armor molds are open, giving a sense of precision. The knee armor was designed to work together with the movement.
The ankle is a heel type and the flesh is quite noticeable. The toe can be fine-tuned with the BJ connection. Since it is the latest kit, the swing width of the shoulders and abdomen is also large. The elbows are simple and bend about 120 degrees.
The toes and heels of the legs can be rolled separately. The grounding is perfect, the hip joints move well, and the knees can be bent nearly 180 degrees. The equipment is the simplest, but it has cool proportions without any peculiarities. The size was a little smaller than Lfrith UR.
Weaponry and Accessories
Although it is a beam carbine, the seams are molded with steps. The magazine is detachable, but one side is hollowed out. Carbine can be attached to the legs. The beam carbine is small and the fuselage equipment is quite simple.
The gun handle is not included and you can hold it with the attached grip, but there is no trigger guard so you don't feel uncomfortable. There was no such thing as flat hands. The shield has an elongated design with a spare magazine and saber grip stored on the back. It is also color-coded and looks good.
The mounting part can be slid, so the position of the shield can be adjusted. Attach to the 3mm axis joint on the side of the forearm. You can rotate and slide up and down, but you can't change the direction of the 90-degree stance, so the stance is limited to some extent.
The beam saber is clear blue and can be equipped by removing the grip behind the shield. The grip shape here is also simple and there are no dowels, but it never came off.
In particular, there was no place to worry about interference or porori, and the movement was smooth. It is a heroic design that can not be thought of as a drone.
The bluish shell unit that was hijacked by the aerial does not have a sticker, so it needs to be painted.
Summary
At first glance, it looks like a normal Gundam, but it is an interesting aircraft that has become an unmanned Gambit.
The armaments and gimmicks are quite simple, but the design is heroic and it seems to suit various customs.
The construction of the kit is as good as ever, with openings in the armor and detailed ducts and molds that are color-coded
