Bandai Gunpla HGTWFM 1/144 MSJ-R122 Demi-Barding Review

A MS Unit Demi-Barding made into a kit from the HG Witch of Mercury series. This Gunpla HG Demi-Barding released with price 2,090 yen. The only accessories are the Beam Rifle Plus, the wire for firing the Baori Pack, and the saber blade. As for seals, various sensors, chest and shoulder nozzles, and foil seals that compensate for the gray shoulders are included. Surplus parts include a part of the demi-trainer's head and ankle base parts.

However, it cannot be combined with a normal demi-trainer. A Demi-Barding set as a concept model of the demi-series developed by Brion. Although there are parts that still have remnants of the Demi series, many parts have been changed to the latest aircraft with new and enhanced parts. Also, on the back is a Baori pack that has a flight unit function and can be operated independently.

Regarding the structure of the kit, some demi-series parts are used, and the joints are the same. Therefore, poly caps are not used and all joints are KPS.

The leg structure is similar to that of a Chuchu trainer, but Will Dash Plus has become Will Dash Boost, and the shape of the booster on the side of the knee has also changed.

In addition, the head has become a small face, giving the impression that the head and body have risen at once. The abdomen, waist, upper arms and thighs are the same as the demi-trainer.

The color scheme of the fuselage can be mostly supplemented with stickers, but some of the fine thruster ducts and shoulder pipes need to be painted.

Head Unit

The head becomes smaller and the center sensor becomes a hexagonal shape. Clear parts are used for the sensor, and it is characterized by a shape that surrounds the head.

The sensor unit like the head can be rotated. The mono-eye is reproduced with a sticker. The mono-eye part has some details and is round, so it seems that it can be easily replaced with a clear lens. The Ball Joints on both ends have a large diameter and sufficient holding power.

Since the head is also miniaturized, it is quite different. The molding color of sand yellow was also a calm color.

Body Unit

Regarding the fuselage, the chest armor is new and the round nozzle part is supplemented with a seal. On the back, the pack connection hole is the same 2-hole type as before, and a 3mm hole has been added in the center.

Various packs such as gunpla and 30MM can be diverted. With 30MM, there was no sense of incongruity with the parts of the brown aircraft. Although it is a backpack, it is equipped with a huge Baori pack, creating a distinctive silhouette with a face on the back.

There are two beam cannons, and the flight units at both ends are connected to Ball Joint. Each unit is rotatable and the barrel can be swung so that it bends from the middle.

The fine thrusters on the flight unit need painting. The seams were molded with steps. The impression that the shoulder armor has been strengthened at once compared to the demi-trainer system.

It has a rugged and complicated shape and is equipped with a large vernier. The part like the pipe on the shoulder is white, so it needs to be painted. There are stickers for ◯ details such as gray and small thrusters.

Arms Unit

Although the upper arm is common for the arm, the forearm has a square shape. The wrist has the same three fingers, but the fist vulcan is attached to the back. The forearm still has a 3mm joint, but it is almost impossible to rotate the forearm joint in barding. The large vernier is a separate part and is quite small, but the muzzle of the Fist Vulcan is also open.

The gimmick of the hip joint has been inherited, and if the rear skirt is raised, the lock will be released, allowing the waist to swing back and forth, and if the skirt is lowered at any position, it will be locked. There is no lining on the back of the armor, but it has details.

The kit does not come with a flat hand, but it was compatible with a flat hand such as a Chuchu machine. You can easily divert it just by exchanging the back of the hand.

Legs Unit

The leg has a long shin and a design similar to a Chuchu machine with a Will Dash. However, the flexible booster has been enlarged and the volume of the knee armor has also increased. Will Dash Plus is enhanced to Will Dash Boost with a propulsion device in the heel.

The flexible booster can still swing up and down. The booster also contains a saber grip. The booster can swing up and down as well as rotate.

The shape of the ankle, such as the toe, was also changed. The sole of the foot has a large cutout on the toe. Although it is a movable range, the impression is almost the same as a Chuchu machine.

However, since the collarbone part is designed to protrude, it interferes when the neck is rotated, so it can only be rotated about 40 degrees.

The legs still have a wide range of motion and good grounding. Bend your knees deeply. Compared with Demi-Trainer Chuchu Custom, the volume of the upper body has increased and the overall armor has become rugged and angular, giving the impression that it has been considerably strengthened.

Weaponry and Accessories set

Beam Rifle Plus sensor unit with a built-in side grip is installed, and the barrel is characterized by its slenderness. The joints are molded with a stepped drop.

His sub-grip is movable, so it is easy to hold with both hands. Sensors have stickers. In addition to the handle, the rifle's dowel is inserted into the dowel hole on the forearm, so you can hold it firmly.

The round hole on the forearm is gray, so if you are concerned about it, you need to paint it. The beam cannon on the back can be placed under the armpit or held over the shoulder. It can't swing left and right, but it has a high degree of freedom.

A beam saber is a common saber blade. The grip is also a simple round shape, but the size was perfect and it didn't fall off. Since the crotch joint is left as it is, it is possible to divert the armament of the Chuchu machine.

Although it is a separation gimmick of the Baori pack, it will be in the form of connecting the lead wires with joints on both ends. The stand is compatible with the weapon display base, but if you have a joint that converts the 3mm pin to a 3mm hole, you can also use a 3mm axis stand.

It's a unique pack that looks like it has a head, so it looks interesting. The length of the cable is also sufficient, so it can be placed in various places. Because he has long shins, he's normal and taller than a non-trainer.
