MG 1/100 ZGMF-1001/M Blaze ZAKU Phantom [ Heine Westenfluss Custom ] Review
This version introduces a color change to the orange variant, known as the Heine Westenfluss color scheme. It appeared in episode 9 of the high-definition remake of the TV series animation and was also featured in the first episode of the old version of the TV series "Void World." The HD version incorporates new parts from the theatrical release.
Finishing
This color change version goes beyond a simple alteration of the main body color. While the other weapons and backpacks retain their original colors, the manufacturer has deliberately highlighted the color matching of this version. The entire kit, including the armament and backpack, has been color-changed, featuring custom color combinations.
Examining the comparison pictures, it becomes evident that the manufacturer has put a lot of thought into this release. It is more than a mere color change. The attention to detail, such as nozzle position adjustments, demonstrates the manufacturer's dedication. They have made modifications to address issues, such as improving the handling of exposed parts and resolving concerns with the outer armor nozzle on the feet. Although these subtle changes may not be immediately noticeable to everyone, the manufacturer's sincerity and commitment to product quality are apparent.
Snapfit
The configuration for this version is relatively extensive. In addition to the default ax x2 and laser rifle x2, it also includes an instant backpack and bombardment backpack. Two rocket launchers configured by Zakucai for thunder are also added. This configuration offers a rich assortment of accessories.
Furthermore, aside from the color change, there are subtle improvements worth noting. The manufacturer has taken product issues seriously, making adjustments to nozzle positions and addressing previous criticisms. They have hidden or modified exposed parts, including the feet's outer armor nozzle. While these changes may not be immediately noticeable, they reflect the manufacturer's commitment to product quality.
The manufacturer has made sincere efforts this time, providing a full configuration of double backpacks, double bazookas, double guns, and double axes. Although the total retail price has increased, considering the additional backpack and rocket launchers, it can still be seen as a good value. Whether or not one finds it personally appealing is subjective.
Price
While the price has indeed increased, considering the numerous accessories and overall value, it remains cost-effective and generally acceptable.
Weaponry
The Heine color version includes an extra set of artillery equipment. This addition serves to differentiate it from the previous version and is not meant to imply any intricate motives or theories.
Problem Fixes
The evaluation has addressed previous product issues, including insufficient parts reported by some customers. The manufacturer has made efforts to listen and address these concerns promptly. As mentioned in the previous evaluation of the green version, some problems have been rectified this time. While it is the manufacturer's responsibility to address such issues, their emphasis on product improvement is commendable. They consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, making corrections and adjustments with each shipment.
Due to the significant mold optimization by the manufacturer for this color variant, including nozzle position distribution and combination improvements (detailed in the front panel diagram), the overall assembly process is smooth. The combination is among the best in their product line, with minimal issues encountered during assembly, apart from one position that may require tighter fitting due to mold repair. This is a testament to the manufacturer's efforts.
Summary
Overall, this product delivers a very satisfactory performance. The manufacturer's ability to make significant revisions within the given price range is commendable. While the price has increased slightly, considering the overall product performance and range of accessories, the price increase is reasonable. Furthermore, these color schemes are currently not available in the original version, making this release even more enticing for collectors.
