Bandai Gunpla Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Review

Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE stands as a beloved brand, renowned for its high-quality, fully poseable mobile suit figures. The incorporation of 3mm diameter joints facilitates enjoyable rearrangement, known as "heavy x ensemble," ensuring an increasingly enjoyable experience as your collection grows.

Marking its fifth installment, this edition holds a special place in its history. A delectable selection awaits, including the 00 Quanta with its abundant clear parts, the V2 Gundam offering customization with a weapon set, and the Gedlav & Einerad, a rare commercialized pairing that's sure to captivate fans.

GNT-0000 00 Qan[T]

The 00 Quanta, a pivotal mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00: A Wakening of the Trailblazer," takes center stage. Its distinct features, including the GN lens, GN Sword V, and GN Sword Bit, are meticulously rendered using clear parts, imbuing them with remarkable depth. In the provided photo, note the GN Sword V attachment to the waist and the detachable GN Sword Bit.

The upper body is adorned with a captivating array of clear parts, contributing to its striking appearance. The visage, in particular, exudes a sense of dignity. The GN Sword V comes in sword mode, while the subsequent MS weapon set provides a grip for its rifle mode.

For GN Sword Bit, four bases are provided. Connected via a 3mm diameter joint, these bases facilitate an aerial display when combined with a figure stand, allowing for a dynamic floating presentation.

LM314V21 Victory 2 Gundam

The V2 Gundam, a central mobile suit from the latter part of "Mobile Suit Victory Gundam," takes the spotlight. This MS is equipped with a Minovsky Drive and comes equipped with a beam rifle and a distinctive pink clear beam shield. The vibrant yellow forming a V-shape on the chest and back adds to its visual appeal. The parts, designed for easy replacement with the later-described MS weapon set, maintain a slender profile and an air of precision.

The head boasts an elegantly curved design, with the camera eye rendered as a clear part. The beam rifle comprises two sections: the main body and the lower barrel portion, imparting a substantial and impactful presence.

Notably, the beam shield features not only an elbow joint but also a joint on the lower arm. This allows for adaptable mount positioning to complement various poses.

ZM-S24G Gedlav

The Gedlav, a mass-produced mobile suit hailing from the Zanskar Empire, made its appearance in "Mobile Suit Victory Gundam." Noted for its fox-eye camera, distinct horizontal proportions, unconventional beam rifle, and the tire-shaped support mechanism known as the Einrad, this suit's modified design accurately captures its unique features.

The head, painted separately, boasts an eerie design that conceals any readable facial expressions. The thick-barreled beam rifle is reproduced with two parts, complete with a 3mm diameter joint on the side. The upper body armor covers vest-like components, and separate parts represent the power pipes on the sides.

Gedlav's tire-type support mechanism, the Einrad, holds its own intrigue. Serving as both a sub-flight system and a means of aerial transportation for Gedlav, the upper portion features a beam cannon and a multi-launcher. This design played a role in the Earth Clean Operation by effectively dismantling foes with its tire-based attacks. The Einrad is sized to fit onto ensemble aircraft, including Gedlav, and its tire assembly boasts creative and entertaining concepts.

When combined with Gedlav, the Einrad is an aptly proportioned addition that broadens the world's horizons. The tire includes a platform where Gedlav's legs are positioned, providing a spot for the mobile suit to embark.

Although not an officially recommended method of play, the base part runner has a diameter of just 3mm. By cutting out the runner and connecting the tire and Gedlav's back, a more stable boarding pose can be achieved. To execute this, cut out the runner marked in red, tailor the length and angle according to preference, and follow the configuration shown in the picture. However, please bear in mind that this is an unofficial method and should be enjoyed at your own risk.

Einerad

Indeed, the components of the Einrad, including the beam cannon, multi-launcher, and tires, are interconnected with 3mm diameter joints. This design provides the added benefit of offering an exceptional weapon set for Gedlav when disassembled. Additionally, the versatility of this set extends beyond weaponry alone. The tires, whether employed as armor plates or fortified rails, expand the range of play opportunities to virtually infinite possibilities.

MS Weapon Set

The MS weapon set offers a diverse array of options for enhancing your Gunpla experience. One of the key features is the ability to transform the GN Sword V of the 00 QanT into a GN Buster Sword using the included blade part. Additionally, a grip part is provided that facilitates conversion into rifle mode. The set also encompasses replacement parts for the V2 Buster Gundam, adding to its versatility.

By attaching the rifle mode grip to the waist and substituting the blade part, you can create the imposing GN Buster Sword, a substantial weapon almost as large as the main body. While not an officially recommended configuration, inserting the connecting shaft shallowly and utilizing the rifle mode grip allows for the weapon to resemble a GN Buster Rifle, resulting in a dynamic and striking shooting pose.

For the V2 Gundam, the set includes back, waist, and leg replacement parts, as well as a beam rifle that can be attached to the twin grenade launcher. These elements together transform the V2 Gundam into the V2 Buster Gundam. The modifications amplify its presence with the inclusion of the mega beam cannon and spray beam pod on the shoulder, achieving an aesthetically pleasing balance.

The Minovsky drive on the back of the V2 Buster Gundam is notably expanded, evoking a more rugged and robust appearance. The asymmetrical design elements contribute to its visual appeal, creating an attractive and dynamic stance. The weapon set's inclusion further enhances the experience, showcasing the substantial and impactful nature of the kit.

Summary

The lineup of the 00 QanT, V2 Gundam, their accompanying weapon set, and the Gedlav + Einrad package represents a truly impressive collection. With their remarkable play value, these kits have gained substantial popularity among fans, making the decision to reissue them a highly anticipated and welcomed move. This resale offers enthusiasts another chance to acquire these exceptional models and experience the joy of assembling, displaying, and customizing them. Don't miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the intricate details and creative possibilities these kits bring to your Gunpla hobby.
