P-Bandai Gunpla FM 1/100 XVX-016 Gundam Aerial [ Permet Score Six ] Review
The FULL MECHANICS Gundam Aerial has been re-released in its Permet Score Six version. This model is available for 4,620 yen as a Premium Bandai exclusive. The package is full-color, and the instruction manual also features a color cover. It includes detailed explanations of the weapons.
The kit includes a beam rifle, escutcheon, right hand for holding the gun, left open hand, saber holding hand, stand joint, joint for holding the bits, shield attachment joint, and a beam effect set. There are no surplus parts included. Only marking stickers are included in this kit. The shell unit's interior features a blue metallic finish.
Design and Color Changes
The FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Gundam Aerial has been re-released in the Permet Score Six version. There are no sculptural changes from the previous version; only the colors have been updated. The entire model now features new molded colors: blue, yellow, and joints in a metallic color. The blue metallic shell unit is now represented with blue metallic parts and higher transparency clear parts.
The white and red molded colors have also been adjusted, achieving a finish similar to the HG version. All joints are made of KPS, providing a complex structure suited to the 1/100 scale. The shell unit, which had some stickers in the HG version, now features consistent clear parts and metallic parts. The proportions have also been adjusted, making the torso slightly more compact and slender compared to the HG version.
The model boasts detailed color separation without the need for foil stickers. Areas like the hips and heels are carefully color-separated, aligning with the intended design.
Head and Face Design
The head features a slightly feminine balance with large eyes, despite the changed molding color. The Vulcans are color-separated, and the head is divided to prevent visible seams.
Body and Edge Detailing
The complex body design is sharply recreated with prominent edges, giving it a three-dimensional finish.
Backpack and Shoulder Armor
A joint can be attached to the backpack to equip the rifle. The shoulder armor is divided to avoid visible seams, and the shell unit is represented with clear parts.
Arm Design
The arm armor is partially opened, with interchangeable wrists for different hand poses. The forearm includes a roll axis, similar to the normal version.
Hip and Leg Design
The hips allow for swinging movement, and the armor's interior is detailed. The legs have a distinctive aerial balance with large thighs. The seams are molded to avoid visibility, and the knee pipes are recreated three-dimensionally, fitting the 1/100 scale.
Articulation Range
The articulation range remains the same as the normal version. The shoulders can be pulled out and raised, the torso bends deeply, and the overall design is highly poseable.
Knee and Foot Articulation
The knee joints move in a complex manner, with armor that moves in conjunction. The soles have no hollow areas, and the toes are articulated.
Lower Body Articulation
The lower body allows for significant spreading and grounding. Unlike the HG version, the ankles use a round joint instead of a C-type joint, enabling horizontal rotation for fine adjustments.
Weaponry
The beam rifle and escutcheon remain unchanged from the previous version.
Stand Compatibility
The stand has a joint hole revealed by removing the hip cover, compatible with Action Base joints and 3mm shaft stands, making it a versatile structure that should be adopted in other models.
Shell Unit and Beam Rifle Detailing
The shell unit features a three-dimensional blue metallic part covered with glitter clear parts, creating a beautiful sparkle. The beam rifle's frame is changed to a gunmetal color.
Rifle and Beam Effects
The rifle-holding hand is included only for the right hand, similar to the normal version, but it remains unstable. This aspect could benefit from improvement. The beam effect for the rifle is much longer than the HG version, changing from clear blue to clear green, giving a bright fluorescent finish.
Escutcheon and Beam Saber
The escutcheon’s molding color matches the main body, attaching directly to the forearm, which can be rolled for various angles. The lower bits can open, similar to the normal version. The beam saber is molded in clear green, maintaining its flat shape but standing out due to its vibrant color.
Gund-Bit Separation and Attachment
The Gund-Bit can be separated, featuring unique joints similar to the HG version. Using Weapon Display Base joints is convenient for display. The bits attach to the body to form the Bit On Form, offering diverse display options, though the long waist bit can be slightly unstable.
Permet Score Six Activation State
The shoulder armor can be removed to somewhat replicate the activated state of Permet Score Six.
Comparison
Comparison with Normal Version
Comparing it with the normal FULL MECHANICS Aerial, some armor and joints are now in metallic molding colors, making the shell unit appear much brighter. The white and red tones are slightly darker, altering the overall impression despite the same design.
Shell Unit Comparison
The shell unit uses high transparency clear parts with glitter, reflecting light well to replicate the shine of the Permet Score Six.
Final Comparison with HG Version
Finally, comparing with the HG version of Gundam Aerial Permet Score Six, the molding colors are almost identical. The proportions and balance differ significantly, offering an interesting comparison.
Summary
While the HG version was released first, the FULL MECHANICS version offers a more vibrant appearance with increased metallic parts. The shell unit features blue metallic and glitter clear parts, providing a brilliant finish. The detailed structure at the 1/100 scale makes it a fun and intricate kit to pose and play with.
