The RG 1/144 Sword Impulse XN Raiser, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @HerGrayMetal, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The builder mixed the RG Impulse with the RG XN Raiser. Although it was not completed in time for the SEED competition, they decided to enter it in the newly started "Main Protagonist Machine Contest." The Impulse body uses the Sword Impulse as the base, but the color scheme resembles the Force Impulse. Since it was being mixed with the XN Raiser, the colors red, blue, and yellow were kept in a softer shade, similar to the Designer's Color Version of the 00 series from the past.

They assumed the RG Sword Impulse, being a Premium Bandai item, would come with water slide decals, but it did not, so they used third-party decals. Thinking that red decals might stand out too much, they chose gray ones instead. The Core Splendor was discarded, and the backpack was modified from the 00 Gundam to mount the XN Raiser. A beam saber was also added. For the XN Raiser, the main wings were replaced with the Flash Edge Beam Boomerangs from the Sword Impulse. Additionally, the arm-like structure that mounts the GN Sword II was modified to attach the Excalibur Laser Anti-Ship Sword. A two-shot of the Impulse and XN Raiser was also captured.

The XN Raiser was attached to the back, resulting in the Sword Impulse XN Raiser. This custom model features an 8-sword configuration, including two Excalibur Laser Anti-Ship Swords, two Flash Edge Beam Boomerangs, two GN Buster Sword IIIs, and two Vajra Beam Sabers. From the back, the model is able to stand independently, even with the four swords. The Excalibur Laser Anti-Ship Sword and its combined mode are showcased, as well as the Flash Edge Beam Boomerang and GN Buster Sword III. The GN Buster Sword III is displayed in its Great Sword mode. Despite the GN Buster Sword III's lack of a visible blade, one might wonder if it can actually cut or if it is intended for thrusting or striking.
