The HG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Plan: Heimdall Custom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @line-U224648add33a83c2f6119507f6cccd9a, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

As a reinterpretation of the previously posted "Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Plan 'The Quartet,'" this model has been restructured to embody a new concept. The Quartet initially aimed for a "full armor constructed from improvised parts," with rugged, repurposed arms using generic robot arm components.

This time, however, the design is based on a scenario where the full-armor upgrade for Unicorn was officially developed as a genuine enhancement plan. The unit code name "Heimdall" is taken from Norse mythology, where Heimdall is known as the "God of Light" or "White God."

It was chosen to contrast with the Unicorn Gundam No. 2 Banshee Norn, which references the Norse goddess of night, Nott. The "H.O.F.U.N.D" Unit The most distinctive feature of this model is the additional backpack unit called "H.O.F.U.N.D," which stands for "High-performance Orbital Framed Ultra-Nerve Device." This device is highly responsive to the pilot’s thoughts, adapting for attack, defense, and mobility with four adjustable arms. Each arm moves independently along ring-shaped rails, swiftly positioning weapons or shields as required.

The name "Hofund" is borrowed from Heimdall’s sword, as the more famous Gjallarhorn from Norse myth, which signals Ragnarok, is already well-associated with Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. The Back Shot showcases its ability to counterattack enemies from all angles, including behind. The dark-toned parts on the back give it a more ominous look, contrasting with the front. In Cruiser Mode, the psychommu within the shield powers additional thrust, enhancing propulsion. While firing thrusters in this mode can risk igniting live ammunition, the style aspect takes priority here!

Assault Mode This mode allows concentrated firepower towards the front, with every weapon aimed forward. Close-Up of HOFUND The vernier components reuse the propellant tank ends from the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam. The ring structure was crafted by linking and gluing three metal rings from a 100-yen keychain set. Gold coils were created by modifying aluminum wire, adding a high-end metallic finish. Arm Sections The arm parts were made from Daiso “Petit Blocks.”

The connector joints look like real molds, so they were kept as is. Neodymium magnets were added to the arm bases to attach the arms to the ring, allowing full movement. All in all, the cost for additional parts was ¥330, including tax. Using Petit Blocks as core parts may be a first for Gunsta, but it fits surprisingly well.

Heroic Pose A heroic stance highlights the model’s bold design. Standing Shot The heavy backpack unit prevents it from standing on its own, so a stand is required. UV Light "Bicorn" Activation When illuminated with UV light, the psychoframe glows brilliantly. Asymmetrical Weapon Arrangement The model can be configured with physical weapons on one side and a beam gatling on the other for an asymmetrical look.

Multimode Two shields are used for defense, while barrels light up on both the front and back. Face-Off with Banshee Norn The model is positioned facing off against Banshee Norn in various angles for an epic encounter.
