The HG 1/144 Gundam Inherited Freedom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @TKYUN12, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

The "Gundam Inherited Freedom" has been completed as a conceptual custom build titled Rei Za Barrel: Freedom Launching. This project imagines an alternate scenario in which Rei appears in SEED FREEDOM, leading to the creation of a new mobile suit inspired by the Freedom series.

The base concept involves mixing various rifle elements to construct a machine that embodies an "IF" (what-if) setting. In this imagined story, Rei, deeply moved by Kira’s words—"That life is yours, not his!"—finds new purpose in protecting the future of others. He joins the organization Compass in pursuit of Shinn and becomes the pilot of a second-generation unit based on the Lifreedom schematics. The name "Inherited" symbolizes the continuation of Kira’s will.

Although the silhouette closely resembles Rising Freedom, the color scheme draws heavily from Legend and Providence, creating a darker, more menacing tone. The weaponry is also reconfigured to focus on DRAGOON systems, with modified Balaena high-output beam rifles and railguns added to reflect Freedom-series characteristics.

The backpack and DRAGOON base units are redesigned using custom arms and joint parts, allowing for forward deployment. While not a full gimmick, a sliding armor mechanism has been added to switch the rifle into long-range mode, enhancing versatility in combat poses and display.

The build culminates in a Full Burst Mode setup, showcasing its maximum firepower. This project envisions a future where Rei could return in some form, piloting this custom unit designed in tribute to legacy and transformation.
