The HG 1/144 Rick Dom Challia Bull Customize Type, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @Ryu-Z, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

In the builder’s original concept, this unit serves as Challia Bull’s personal mobile suit after his return from Jupiter. While the Kikeroga was still under construction, this Rick Dom was heavily customized as a contingency machine in case the decisive battle against the Federation occurred before the new mobile armor was completed.

The added equipment includes two armed shields combining beam cannons and multi-missile pods, a newly developed alpha-type psycommu Bit weapon, and a beam bazooka. The armed shields are psycommu-controlled, allowing flexible movement via articulated arms.

The idea began simply with the desire to give the Dom a shield, then evolved into a Newtype-focused loadout, imagining Bit weapons as the ultimate enhancement for Challia Bull. Inspiration came from kits such as Thunderbolt’s Full Armor Gundam and Hyper Gyanko, leading to the use of flexible arms to mount and articulate the shields. Bit placement posed a challenge due to the bulky rear thrusters, so an option parts set was used to achieve a clean, detachable mounting solution.

To complete the loadout, the iconic beam bazooka was equipped, reinforcing the Rick Dom’s identity and fitting naturally with the overall design. With the arms fully deployed, the unit can enter a full-burst configuration, emphasizing its role as a high-firepower interim ace machine.
