The HG 1/144 Ecoas Jegan: Custom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @5Mnq5i2SCRQ76wQ, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This is a heavily modified build of the ECOAS Jegan, with scribing pushed to the builder’s personal limits. The project served not only as a finished piece but also as a technical challenge aimed at improving future Gunpla work.

While previous builds relied mostly on simple line molds, this time the panel lines were carved more three-dimensionally. After scribing, C-faces were added inside selected lines to create depth and layered surfaces. Negative molds were also incorporated to emphasize the scribed patterns, giving the armor a sharper mechanical feel.

Decals were carefully placed around the upgraded areas to guide the viewer’s eye toward the newly added details. Scratch-built plastic plate parts were introduced as accents, adding individuality while maintaining the unit’s military tone.

The back of the shield and the front waist armor were fully scratch-built. Notably, more detail was added to the rear side of the shield than the front, enhancing realism and rewarding close inspection.

A custom bazooka was created by kitbashing existing parts and adding extra detailing, as the builder wanted a heavier armament option to suit the unit.

During construction, a straight-built version of the kit was kept nearby as a reference model to evaluate how each modification would affect the overall silhouette. The original proportions were already solid, allowing the focus to remain on surface enhancement rather than reshaping.

This build reflects a deliberate effort to expand technical range. The experience gained from advanced scribing, scratch-building, and composition planning is expected to inform and elevate future projects.
