The HG 1/144 Gyan (GQ), masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @rariharu, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This build features the Gyan in its GQ version. The kit itself proved to be well-designed, requiring only minimal modifications during construction.

Only a few small changes were made to the model:

• The antenna was sharpened for a cleaner appearance.
• The tip of the large lance Hakujii Lance was refined to create a sharper point.

Most of the kit was assembled straight from the box, including leaving the seam lines on the arms and legs untreated. While these seams are somewhat noticeable, the builder chose not to modify them further.

The most notable feature of the kit is the enormous Hakujii lance. Its size gives the model a dramatic silhouette but also makes handling difficult. During painting and photography, maintaining balance proved challenging, and the sharpened tip broke several times.

After repairing the tip multiple times, the builder eventually chose to display the model carefully on a shelf.

An additional wing unit was temporarily attached during photography. The idea came simply from having spare wings nearby from another project. The result created a unique five-point silhouette, humorously described by the builder as resembling a “pentagon.”

Even with minimal modification, the Gyan GQ kit stands out thanks to its impressive weapon and strong design. The large lance dominates the visual presence of the model, while the experimental wing configuration adds a playful and unexpected variation to the display.
