The MG 1/100 GUNDAM Mk-V, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @akky, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

Following builds of the S Gundam and Ex-S Gundam, this project focuses on the Gundam Mk-V from the Sentinel series.

To match the heavy equipment style previously used on the Ex-S, the builder equipped the Mk-V with the Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher originally from the Hi-ν Gundam RG kit.

Because the launcher is extremely large, the standard kit hand parts could not properly hold it. To solve this, hand parts from the Narrative Gundam MG kit were modified and adapted for a stronger grip.

Although the kit’s original thrusters were well designed, the builder chose to replace them with vernier parts taken from the S Gundam. This small change helps visually link the Mk-V with the earlier Sentinel builds.

The addition of the Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher dramatically enhances the scale and presence of the Mk-V. Combined with parts adjustments from other Sentinel kits, the build reinforces the heavy, high-performance aesthetic associated with the Sentinel mobile suits.
