The MG 1/100 Sengoku Astray: Custom, masterfully customized by the Gunpla builder @for_riner, stands as an exemplary model of unique modification and intricate detailing.

This custom build reimagines the Sengoku Astray Gundam with an oni-inspired design. Using the original MG Sengoku Astray as the base, parts from multiple kits were combined to reshape the silhouette into a more aggressive and demonic form.

The goal of the project was to evoke the appearance of a traditional Japanese demon. The proportions and armor layout were modified through kitbashing to create a sharper, more intimidating outline that reflects the oni theme.

The model was painted primarily in black with multiple shades of red. This layered red palette adds depth to the armor while reinforcing the fierce aesthetic associated with the concept.

The backpack was redesigned using elements inspired by Gundam Astray Red Frame Powered Red. Additional Sengoku-style components were integrated to create a sub-arm system, giving the unit expanded mechanical functionality and a distinctive rear profile.

Through extensive kitbashing and a striking color scheme, the build transforms the Sengoku Astray into a more imposing machine. The oni-inspired silhouette and mechanical sub-arm backpack give the model a strong visual identity while remaining faithful to the Astray lineage.
